Hiya,
I gave my 7610 phone to Carphone Warehouse to upgrade the firmware (which
they did for me) but told me they were not allowed to install any other
firmware on it such as the standard firmware or the Orange firmware or any

Has anyone ever heard of Carphone Warehouse not being licenced to sell a
phone?
This was the excuse used by Carphone Warehouse in Paisley and Braehead when
trying yesterday to buy the O2 PAYG Nokia 7260, advertised as available at

I have called various 0800 numbers within my free minutes allowance on Three
before. I got my bill today which included  £7 (OK, not much but annoying)
for dialling some 0800 numbers.
Three say that apparently there are two types of 0800 numbers, band 1 and 2.
