Just looked up the roaming rates for my select500 sim in USA. They seem pretty steep. Seems sensible option is to put that sim on divert to a locally sourced sim card whilst in USA - Orange charge 15ppm to a USA mobile

...if a mobile phone is stolen?? I've just purchased a mobile from ebay (still awaiting delivery) . It is being sold as new, boxed etc... But the paranoid side of me is saying what if it stolen and will be blocked about 2 weeks after I start using it?

I'm off to Barbados in a few weeks and just looked at the international roaming costs of Virgin Mobile (I have a pay by direct debit Virgin Mobile account). It will cost 1.50GBP to make a call and 0.80GBP to receive a call.
