Just looked up the roaming rates for my select500 sim in USA. They
seem pretty steep.
Seems sensible option is to put that sim on divert to a locally
sourced sim card whilst in USA - Orange charge 15ppm to a USA mobile

I've just purchased a mobile from ebay (still awaiting delivery) .  It is

international roaming costs of Virgin Mobile (I have a pay by direct
