Notice to all 3 customers23 May 2005 10:32 GMT14
Today I visited the 3 website and noticed you can register your card
details to pay your monthly bills.
I called 3 customer services for further clarification about paying monthly
bills by this option and cancelling the direct debit.

I have a samsung a800 which is unlocked for SIM cards. It is currently using
a Virgin SIM. However when I inserted an O2 SIM it's accepted but I get "
Network Lock" and asked for a password. I've had my 3 guesses at the

3's walled garden - a new take23 May 2005 07:20 GMT6
Just as an aside to 3's rationale with regards to their "Walled Garden"....
Could it be because of the lack of knowledge at the "overseas" call centre
that is stopping 3 from removing the wall? It's not as if they have a 156
equivalent service (Orange) on their network, is it?

Do any UK networks allow you to divert calls?
I presume not.

1) Does anyone know of a legitimate solution to reduce these charges.

I was surprised that the FAQ doesn't have any list of good mobile phone

avoiding)? Is this worth putting in the FAQ?
Need Help Learning22 May 2005 21:13 GMT1
I am just trying to learn about telephony (Landline & Mobile & whatever
else). I do not want to go into too much technical detail but to get an
understanding of the technology so that I can talk to customers sensibly.
Anyone know of any books, websites, (or whatever media there ...
Vodafone Call Catcher - the definitive answer!22 May 2005 17:34 GMT5
Just had a call from Vodafone Technical Support re Call Catcher. It IS
supposed to work with voicemail enabled, but at the moment it's only working
if voicemail is disabled. They're working on the problem and hope to have a
resolution within a couple of days.

Cheapest way to call mobiles for a business?22 May 2005 14:37 GMT4
I'm looking for a way to reduce our costs calling mobile phones.
Surprisingly BT seem to be pretty competetive for calls to mobiles from
a landline (when you average out the prices for calling the different
networks). I'd like to reduce costs more than this though.
XDAiis Case22 May 2005 13:51 GMT1
I have upgrades from the O2 XDA to XDAiiS and this discssion is about the

I think the case s better as it clips to the belt itself rather than
hanging.  However, because of the design of the case I am finding that the
Strange new symbol on Virgin Motorola 36522 May 2005 09:56 GMT5
My Motorola 365 on Virgin beeped this morning.
A strange new symbol, not identified in the handbook has now appeared on
the top line above the normal display, adjacent to where the text /
message symbols normally appear.
