PAC number transfer to existing number12 Jun 2005 23:31 GMT1
My contract expires end of August 2005 (with BT). If I were to enter
into a new contract with another provider during July or August and
take their new number, can I transfer my BT number to that number when
my BT contract expires?
o2 payg question12 Jun 2005 22:40 GMT6
I'm currently on the online 200 pay monthly tariff.
Looking at moving to pay monthly and had some questions. If I go for the
online talkalot with messages then I get 300 free texts (or 100 mms) when I
top up £10. If I hit the 300 then can I add another £10 to restart the
Car kit converter12 Jun 2005 22:09 GMT2
I have recently bought a second hand car with a Nokia Car Kit already
installed.  I believe it is the CARK134 kit.  The thing is, I have a Sagem
MyX-7 phone which I am happy with.
I am trying to find a converter which will plug into the Nokia cradle, and
ring tone.....12 Jun 2005 17:51 GMT2
Anybody know where I can get a Byrds ring tone ?
Dial-up Internet Access12 Jun 2005 15:06 GMT12
I'm gonna be without phone + internet access for a few days next week,
but since I have a mobile, I'll be able to use that to dial-up to an
ISP. I'm on O2 PAYG so the GPRS/WAP doesn't give me access to the few
services I need... naturally, the days I'll be without web access are
Wap push ringtone?12 Jun 2005 14:07 GMT6
Hi chaps,
I just had a signal on my trusty Ericsson T39m, accompanied with the
message "Ringtone" followed by "Accept?".
Now, being highly suspicious of inadvertently letting myself in for
DKU2 USB212 Jun 2005 11:50 GMT1
I don't know where I got the idea from, but I thought some of Nokia's
latest phones, especially things like the 6630 and 6680 (my phone)
supported USB2 and therefore faster connections.
It's still slow.

HP 4700 - any good for secure wifi?12 Jun 2005 09:45 GMT7
Just wondering if anybody has managed to make it work with WPA-PSK for
example.
Also, is there any way to configure separate login+pwd combinations
for POP and SMTP email servers? I have another PDA with wm2003 and the
O2 and the 688012 Jun 2005 02:38 GMT9
Got an email telling me its out on the 20th June.
I went to the shop to check it out earlier - its a chunky f.cker isnt it,
probably 3 times as big as my 6230!
They said it may be possible for me to request an early upgrade (3months
Odd Inbound Hidden SMS's from Vodafone12 Jun 2005 01:30 GMT2
On my new 6680, the log shows everything in and out a lot better than all my
previous phones, so maybe this has happened before and I justs never had
access to a good enough log.
Any way, I sent my first MMS yesterday, and within a couple of minutes I got
Bargains galore at LX Direct!11 Jun 2005 21:43 GMT30
As I'm sure you are all aware by now, there's a long list of current LX
Direct discount codes doing the rounds at the moment.
The best of these offer £25 off or 25% off (for first time buyers).
I've decided to do a trawl of the LX Direct website and compile a list
Vodafone Live.11 Jun 2005 21:34 GMT3
How does this vodafone live work ?
I know that if I connect to the vodafone live bookmark on my nokia 9500 and
browse their pages its free, but what about the following ..
I open my browser and type in a website i.e google.co.uk. It then asks me
O2 WAP/MMS Settings on Samsung11 Jun 2005 20:25 GMT2
I've downloaded the O2 WAP & MMS settings for Pay & Go from the O2
website, but I can't seemt o get these services to work...When I try to
use WAP it says network unavailable.  My brother has WAP and he can use
it, so I know it's not an O2 service problem.
Further reply from Cellantenna. Opinions please?11 Jun 2005 20:09 GMT2
I would appreciate the opinion of respected members of this group. I
asked Cellantenna how they thought they were allowed to rebroadcast on
the 1800 gsm band in the UK when a license appears to be required to
use these frequencies.
