Orange website misinformation?01 Jun 2005 12:13 GMT6
I've just been reading the Orange website, the section on using an Orange
phone in the US, and found the following -
"You cannot use your Orange phone on a non-GSM network, but you can rent a
phone for that network whilst visiting the USA and use your Orange SIM card
Orange OCR issues with matching Three01 Jun 2005 11:26 GMT15
Just wondering if anyone has tried to get OCR to match Three's Select
500 tariff lately, and if so how forceful you had to be. Did you have
to phone up several times and start the call by saying "I'm planning to
leave orange"? etc
Should I go for this upgrade?01 Jun 2005 10:11 GMT1
I'm with Vodafone and I get 400 any time, any network minutes each month (no
inclusive texts) for £25 and my weekly spend is rarely more than a couple of

Our system has been installed since mid April. Siemens & VOSA are due to call next week to activate it...
Can't wait
8310 eating GPRS!!!!01 Jun 2005 08:52 GMT5
Reported on here the other day that my 8310 was eating it's way through a
Orange World bundle rather quickly.
For example checking my Orange email would cost about 60p instead of the
usual couple of pence? I checked the GPRS usage and it would only be about
Has anyone else got an unsolicited text message from "BASE" (2424)?01 Jun 2005 06:15 GMT4
And is this a premium rate text?
It says: "Welcome to BASE , you can dial 2424 for all kinds of
information about where to find a doctor, museum, restaurants, the
weather forecast and much more!"
Buying out Orange contract01 Jun 2005 06:09 GMT7
Does anyone have any experience with buying out an Orange contract? I
have approximately 2/3 months left and want to port my number to O2. I
assume (if it can be done at all) I will be asked simply for the
remainder of my line rental in advance i.e. 3 x £20.
