Urgent need for short term Internet connection23 Aug 2005 12:53 GMT10
WE are moving offices and will be losing Internet connectivity for maybe
2 weeks.
Is there some mobile solution that is not too expensive that could get
us out of trouble - something that would be faster than dial-up.
Easymobile - GPRS?23 Aug 2005 11:35 GMT9
I'm attracted to setting up an Easymobile account because of the 15p flat
rate to all UK networks. However, as I have just bought a smartphone (SPV
C500) I just wondered how 'high tech' the network is. Do they provide a GPRS
service for instance? There's no mention of it on their ...
New Phone & Network23 Aug 2005 10:41 GMT4
I want a new phone, and I like some of the new Sony ones coming out at
the moment.  The K600i, K750i etc. I think the Nokia N70 due in
September looks okay but the keypad looks a bit on the small side.
Has anyone managed to get any of the Sony phones above? What do you
60 GB IPOD deal found23 Aug 2005 10:24 GMT2
I just completed this offer for a 60 gb photo ipod and it is awesome!
My friend got one from it and he is waving it in my face and taunting
me! Anyways, all you have to do is complete a promotion offer and
cancel it before the 30 days trial is up and then get 8 referrals. I
6680 & Video Calls on O223 Aug 2005 09:56 GMT4
I have recently purchased a 6680 from 02, but I cannot get the video
calling to work.  I have full-bars of 3G coverage according to the phone
and data transfer seems to work fine at the faster rate.  When I try and
ring my girlfriend's phone which is in the same room, a 6680 also ...
Recommended places to get a Nokia 6680 from22 Aug 2005 23:35 GMT10
I'm about to upgrade on my 6230 & want to get the 6680 (the gf has one too
;) )
I've looked on CPW & Phones4U for it & just need a few extra sites to look
at for price comparisons. I'm currently with Orange & ideally want to
upgrade - decisions decisions..22 Aug 2005 21:37 GMT6
...just phoned up to see about an upgrade.
I'm with Vodafone through the Carphone Warehouse.
They've offered me £230.00 off a handset, they've got the Nokia 8800 -
winner, or so I thought.
What makes a 3G phone?22 Aug 2005 20:48 GMT3
Slightly confused about this...
The Sony Ericsson K750i seems to have more features than the
K600/K608/V600i phone and a better camera.  Yet the latter is classed
as a 3G phone, but the 750 doesn't seem to be.  Both can do Video I
"New" Motorola V3 phone...  manual's dated January 2000!22 Aug 2005 20:47 GMT5
I thought this was rather odd and it may well be a mistake, but I just
downloaded the PDF manual for a Motorola V3 phone and the headings on the
pages say January 2000.
Now, the phone's currently sold as 'latest' and 'new' etc. but it's not
Sagem MC920 Manual?22 Aug 2005 20:28 GMT1
Me mother has got the above Sagem free to replace her dying Nokia. Is there
an online manual around for this phone - It's Vodafone branded.

T-Mobile and the new SE W800 / W800i22 Aug 2005 19:06 GMT2
Can anyone explain why the other main networks are happily supplying
the W800i but T-Mob think that they'll just supply the W800?
Seems typical.
T-Mob wouldn't supply the K7501 but brought own a tame D750 as well

Does anyone know of a site where I can get an International calling card
online i.e. rather than buy those scratch cards at the off-licence.
Cheers
call charges to personal numbers (070)22 Aug 2005 16:40 GMT1
I've been trying to find out what the mobile operators charge for calls
to personal numbers (starting with 070). So far, I've been able to
find:
T-Mobile: same as cross-network minutes (but not included in call
