I bought a nokia 6230 in January this year from the carphone warehouse,the original developed & fault & the handset was replaced. a few weeks ago a fault developed with the replacement,it went away for 'repair' (incidentally it came back with a mark on the screen & lots of dust

When I pass shops and they say "SIM card £3" presumably that is for an unlocked pay as you talk mobile? Also, when they give you the option of 02, Virgin, etc, is this so people can chose the call charges that they want?

I've seen lots of talking of roaming in the USA and getting a phone that supports GSM 1900, but if I was to get a phone over there that supported GSM 1900 and 850 would I be able to roam on 850 with the UK SIM? Thanks.
