Recommended dustproof mobile phone or case?20 Nov 2005 23:42 GMT7
My mobile (11 months old) appears to have expired, almost certainly due
to continuous exposure to building dust etc.  I always kept it in the
provided case, but particularly since this had a 1 cm hole in the middle
to allow access to a damn-fool joystick button (it's a Sony ...

not power up. Battery and SIM ok so it's the phone. Is it ...

Reporting spam SMS?20 Nov 2005 20:56 GMT2
Neither ICSTIS not TFPS are able to deal with complaints regarding spam SMS
and yet it is an offence to send unsolicited commercial SMS in the UK.
Is there an organisation that is able/willing to deal with such complaints?
Gareth.
Vodafone PAYT PUK220 Nov 2005 19:52 GMT20
I have recently changed my PAYT phone, keeping the same sim. I was
fiddling (yes I admit it) in the menus and managed to lock myself out
of some of them. It was requesting PIN2 which I had three attempts at
and failed. It now wants my PUK2.
Upgrading on 3 - which handset?20 Nov 2005 19:21 GMT2
As subject really! I am just coming up to the end of my 3 contract but
unlike many of the people who use this group, I have had no major problems
with them. Coupled with the minutes / texts for the price, I haven't seen
other networks come very close!
Registering with Orange PAYG...20 Nov 2005 19:18 GMT10
Got an Orange PAYG SIM card with free evening calls and 3000 free evening
and weekend texts if topped up by £15 p/m, and called to register it. They
asked me for the IMEI number, which I didn't have to hand at the moment, so
I will have to call back later. Got a couple of questions. ...

If you have an unwanted Mobile, doesn't matter if it works or not, why not

Blue Peter's (freepost) current appeal.
they are collecting old phones to help support Childline.
Duplicate Sims20 Nov 2005 10:28 GMT16
Just got a car with build in comms pack. Im looking to duplicate my sim.

Netmonitor on Nokia 610020 Nov 2005 09:10 GMT8
I've just bought a Nokia-compatible data cable (the kind that plugs into
the headset socket) for my 6100. It's a serial cable.
I bought it with the aim of enabling the netmonitor software. Menu-16
shows 'shortcut not available' (rather than 'invalid shortcut' as it does
Dusty 623019 Nov 2005 23:21 GMT3
My 6230 is a great phone except that the inside of the screen rapidly fills
up with dust. I don't live in a particularly dusty environment, I'm talking
ordinary pocket fluff here.
Do they all do this? How do you prevent it. I'll be using the
