eBay Batteries08 Nov 2005 18:21 GMT14
What's the general consensus on buying non-original batteries from eBay
traders? They seem to be much cheaper than the Nokia original part (6230).
Does anybody have any tales of woe (or glee) to share? Or any sellers (or
actual e-tailers) to recommend?

Any answers please?08 Nov 2005 15:50 GMT12
We have an ancient Siemens mobile on a monthly Virgin tariff with Orange.
The mobile has just died. Orange will only replace the handset with a
full-retail-price handset (i.e. not the price shown on their web-site). The
mobile has very light use so we're wondering on the best ...

I have been given a T Mobile motorola V300 which is asking for a subsidy
code when I switch it on with my sim in it.
Does this need unlocking? How much should I pay, can I do this myself?
Any help appreciated,

Vodafone? Inclusive minutes and 0800 or 191 calls08 Nov 2005 08:39 GMT4
Do Vodafone charge for calls made to 191?
I'm on the Anytime 200 package and my online bill says that I've used 37
minutes this month so far.
Trouble is, my main calls have been to 191 to sort problems out but the
Trading in an old handset08 Nov 2005 08:30 GMT4
Will a T-mobile shop give me a trade in on an old handset?
Alternatively, will any shop that will also match T Mobile's 12 months
half-ish price Webnwalk packages? What will I need? Just the old
handset + charger or all the box, books and accessories?
MDA Pro vs MDA Vario08 Nov 2005 08:28 GMT8
The MDA Pro has a 2MP camera (although the marketing says 1.3). Is this
also the case with the Vario?
Does anyone know what the "pre-subsidy" price of the Vario is? The MDA
Pro is £400 iirc.
N70 - best network for data access?08 Nov 2005 08:17 GMT7
I'm about to buy a N70 and as my contract is up, I've decided to
change operator from Vodafone (mainly because I hate their voicemail
system either pestering me every ten minutes if I don't answer the
call or clogging up my SMS inbox).
Bluetooth data transfer rate08 Nov 2005 08:13 GMT4
What is the normally achievable data transfer rate for Bluetooth? I was
helping my parents set up a Bluetooth USB adaptor and software from an XP PC
to their Samsung E530 phones. After a bit of problem (the instructions are
CRAP), I got it working perfectly, apart from the fact ...

Orange have the World Access packs, eg WA4 and WA10 for 4 and 10MB
extra data allowance.
O2 has Online Browse and Download 2 and 4.
What extra packs do Vodafone have? I'm sure they have some, I just
