Any idea whether I'll get better prices for upgrades by going via a
dealer (eg. Mobileshop and the like) or direct to the network?

My daughter has moved to America and took her UK Samsung V200 phone.
When she got to the States the phone needed to be unblocked for use in
America which it was.
She is now back home for a few days and finds that the phone is now blocked
