Porting 2 Orange numbers at once27 Nov 2005 18:57 GMT5
I've decided to ditch my Orange contract, due in part to the forthcoming
charges for 0800 numbers, but mainly because I don't really use it enough
and always have loads of minutes left over, even on Talk 120.
I have two numbers on the account, on Line 1 and Line 2 and I want to ...

The changes follow adjustments made last month that saw downgrades
Liquid Ingress part II27 Nov 2005 17:47 GMT6
I have my Nokia 6600 back from the repair centre & Nokia.
I took a peek at the internals and the board. There is absolutely *ZERO*
evidence of any liquid ingress at all.
The phone works perfectly but fails to charge, if I put a freshly
6680 3g question ?27 Nov 2005 17:44 GMT4
Is it possible to connect a nokia 6680 to a laptop using a nokia cable, and
browse the net, pick up e-mail etc using the 3g connection ?
I seem to be able to do it using the gprs or dial-up connection, but not 3g.
Help with this problem would be appreciated.

setting on the phone ?
or do you have to accept them?

keep seeing references to OPV & SPV. Can some kind soul tell me what
these are?
German mobile SIM card27 Nov 2005 16:14 GMT10
Hi, I'm new to this group so please accept my apologies if this is common
knowlege. I'm after a German SIM card, for my daughter when she goes on a
German exchange in a few weeks, and wondered if anyone could recommend a
reliable source? I've seen a few for sale on eBay but I am ...
If sim is blocked, can you still access the numbers in contacts?27 Nov 2005 13:13 GMT20
I had my mobile stolen a few days ago, so I got my provider to block
the sim and handset immediately.  It was a K750i with T-mobile.
The thing is, my contact numbers were stored on the sim, so I'm just
worried that whoever stole it now knows the phone numbers of my friends
Can blocked/barred mobiles actually be legit?27 Nov 2005 12:35 GMT5
My understanding (I accept it could be wrong) was that a blocked/barred
mobile phone has almost certainly been reported lost or stolen or has
outstanding finance.
Are there other non-nefarious reasons why a phone would be

Mobile broadband?26 Nov 2005 21:06 GMT9
My ADSL broadband is flaky due to the length of the line -- 8km -- so
I'm looking into alternatives. I'm more interested in reliability than
speed -- even 50-60kbps might be acceptable (using dialup I get only
20-30 just now). Though mobility is not required, I'm wondering
