My 6 yr old Nokia 8210 connects without any problems with my Jornada 720 and Psion 5 MX for dial up and sending faxes. My K700i does not I really wanted to use the IR connection to hopefully use my GPRS

OK, the setup: new W800i on Vodafone, connected to a WinXP laptop via the supplied USB cable. All software installed as per CD, updated to latest versions as per web site. (Don't update the firmware on the phone itself though.)
