| Are 3 really still that bad??? | 08 Dec 2005 01:31 GMT | 11 |
Just coming to the end of 2 O2 contracts and am considering 3 because of the attractive tariffs (and the Motorola V3x) Some family members already have 3 and by and large seem very satisfied with them.

| Old mobile shows "BTCELLNET" not "O2" | 08 Dec 2005 01:29 GMT | 6 |
Just curious: While waiting for my number to be PAC'ed into my new O2 account, I've ressurected an old Ericsson A1018S mobile to stick my new O2 simcard in, while I'm briefly running two contracts in parallel.

| phone suggestion for a 90 year old? | 07 Dec 2005 23:57 GMT | 11 |
Well, my grandpa is now into his 90's and has realized that he could do with a modile phone for "just incase". It would need to be as simple to use as possible and have a large easy to read keyboard and screen for slow fingers and dodgy eyes.

Two question I am struggling to find an answer to: (1) I assign my left joystick shortcut to the camera and this seems fine....i.e. it is the camera. But after a switch off it defaults to Write New Text Message. Arrgh! Anybody else find this?

| Mercury Mobile | 07 Dec 2005 18:53 GMT | 4 |
Mercury Mobile offer a contract at £50 per annum. There is no handset supplied and you get 200 mins per month with no rollover and no inclusive access to 0870, 0845 and 0800 numbers. It costs a lot if you go over the 200 mins.

Apologies if this has already been raised but I can't seem to find anything in the back postings with my limited knowledge of how these newsgroups works. I'm recently bought an O2 Xda Exec and the phone facility seems to be

| Orange > Virgin port question | 07 Dec 2005 11:00 GMT | 6 |
My Line 2 Orange number was ported to Virgin yesterday, and what a strange procedure it was as well. Unlike when I ported a number *to* Orange a couple of years ago, where it all happened at once with a few SIM updates, this seemed to take virtually 24 hours in dribs and drabs.
