What are the Layer1 and layer 2 functions?
How a data packet filters?
How the systems recognize whether the data packet is of data or control

Back when orange offered decent additional services and good customer
services I went for OVP packages.
However, now you can wait for 20 or 30 mins sometimes for customer
services, and then get someone who does not have a clue after wasting

Can someone tell me what the three squares mean that are between the signal
meter and battery status indicators?, and how do I remove it? (k700).
Theres no mention of what it means in the manual and its been there ever
since I have had the phone.

Is it possible to find this with an active SIM installed?  I know there is a
series of joystick moves to do this, but it doesn't appear to work with a
SIM installed.  I know there is a simple cure to this (remove the sim), but
just wondered if there is a quicker way to check it with ...

I'm going to Portugal next week, Is it likely that my PAYG 02 mobile will
make/receive calls and txts out there, or do i need
to contact 02 to activate another service ??

I've never been interested in cashback deals as they look too confusing

I'm sort of new here, so I thought I'd share with you some pretty cool
info on something that's getting a bit big. My wife introduced me to
it, and it's probably going to be the new face of technology.

A Ukrainian lady came into our shop and signed up for an expensive
phone on an 02 contract.  She provided a Ukranian passport and a bank
statement as proof of ID and address and passed O2's credit check.
After getting the phone, she went back to the Ukraine without using

Its (obviously) sill contracted to T Mobile here - but wanting to use
it with a 0044 or local sim while away.
Also I saw someone saying virgin data was a fiver a meg while outside
the UK - are virgin sims OK in the vario?

do any SIM only deals offer this for free? I would like to make sure the
kids aren't going berserk and spending all their savings on texting their
mates!
