home panic alarm/burglar alarm that can send a SMS message when triggered?

The hash/space button on my T630 keypad no longer 'clicks' when pressed.

Just got one of the £10 phones from orange website
Came in sealed box but it constantly displays Network Search
If you do a scan of available networks it shows the four uk networks but
then if you select orange

When my Motorola V500 was rosming in Canada on a recent holiday it
automatically set its clock time from the (Rogers) network and adjusted this
between MST and PST depending on area.
It didn't reset the time automatically when back in the UK on Orange.
