A year or so ago I got a couple of phones from CPW on the Virgin network. Both were unlocked as supplied. Anyone know if this still the case ? I am particularly interested in the Motorola L6 for my young'un (to use an O2 SIM).

My young'un is on O2 Online 50 (on a reduced tarrif). Her old samsung slidephone is knackered. It is 19 months old. I have asked for the D600 on an upgrade but they say her usage is low and can only offer that phone if I pay £119.

My ADSL works only about 60% of the time, due to a long (>8km) and crackly phone line. I've given up on getting that fixed so am looking at alternatives, including 3G/GPRS. I'd probably use that as backup, for the other 40% of the time. I might get a laptop but for now I'm
