I've just had an sms message to my phone saying 'update' apply new

if I accept it?  Is there any way to know its genuine or not?

3G tarrifs06 Apr 2006 15:11 GMT4
Are 2 and 3G tarrifs and priceplans equivalent on some networks? I can't
seem to find "3G" only ones.
The reason I ask is that say I'm on Relax or Dolphin etc, and I buy a 3G
phone (HTC Universal or n70 etc). Would I just put my existing sim into the
PAC codes and Notice Periods06 Apr 2006 14:41 GMT8
I understand that requesting a PAC code also acts as notification for
leaving your current network. I've managed to get my head around the part
month billing etc.
However, what happens if you don't use your PAC within 30 days and allow it
Roaming and Deposits06 Apr 2006 14:26 GMT9
I am on O2 200, via the Carphone Warehouse. Only two months into my
contract. Next week I'm off to Germany for a week and would like to be able
to send and receive texts, at the very least (not bothered about making
calls). So I called up customer service.... you can guess what ...
Safest 100% Cashback deal?06 Apr 2006 13:05 GMT3
I'm looking for a relatively "safe" 100% cashback deal. I'm not too bothered
about the handsets, but I need around 150-200 xnet minutes and a few texts
per month.
When I say safe, I mean the easiest to claim for. I like the look of the
Unlocking a Three Phone06 Apr 2006 11:52 GMT2
I have a Nokia phone the **30, I forget, the one that can not be currently

Anyways I understand that Three will unlock it for about £100-£150.
Does anyone know how much this drops (if any) when the phone is over 12

As per subject, does anyone know what the lowest price Orange contract I can
change to, I want to pay off my contract early but obviously it would be
cheaper if I change to the lowest price tarrif first.

Any Orange CS reps out there?06 Apr 2006 10:33 GMT3

You are launching EDGE in the UK - even though the Geordie moron who spoke
to me had never heard of it and told me Orange "didn't do it"
The moron also told me orange didn't sell sims and the only way you could
P990 anyone?06 Apr 2006 08:55 GMT5
Expansys have finally announced their handset only price on the P990 (on
pre-order).  A snip at £899.95 (inc vat).
Think I'll keep my P900 just a teeny bit longer.

Orange email and SMS alerts06 Apr 2006 07:48 GMT9
Does anyone else find they no longer get the SMS alerts when someone
sends an email to their Orange address?  I've had nothing for a week or
more.
I know they are working on their email system and have changed the
Orange contact info required06 Apr 2006 07:21 GMT5
My wife's Orange contract ended in January and, in early February, she
received a final bill showing a credit of £27.60.
The bill stated that the credit shown against the account balance would be
deducted from the next invoice, which obviously can't happen.
