A Googling suggests that no O2 contract phones were locked to the network as recently as October 2005. Is this still the case? I want to eBay an upgrade and would rather not crack the box to check whether it's locked or not. A couple of calls to O2 themselves has proved

Hi, O2 are saying for £35 per month I can get 750 minutes and 750 text messages on an 18-month contract plus new phone (even Nokia N80)..., surely this is too good to be ture? I'm on Orange 900 minutes for £75, not sure about text messages, but
