0044 and Riiing04 May 2006 22:17 GMT6
I have found Riiing to be by far the best. I needed a UK and a US
number but spoke to Juergen at Offshore Consultants in Switzerland and
he sorted out a UK number to link to the Riiing SIM with no roaming
charges (just $80 connection as a one off) and a US number at $310 per

You'd think with the revenue presumably pouring in from their current
(well named and priced) tariffs they'd be rolling in it - apparantly
not!

DIY Faraday cage for a mobile phone04 May 2006 19:26 GMT35
I'm writng some software to run on a PocketPC with a built-in GPRS phone,
and I need to test the software when the GPRS signal is weak, intermittent
or non-existent. The cheapest way to do this seems to be to build a Faraday
cage with adjustable leakiness. It needs to have some ...

After years of getting more and more cheesed off by ever increasing
mobile phone bills (despite minimal use) i've now taken matters into my
own hands and have set up a website  to list all the 12 month free

MSFP email "push" without exchange04 May 2006 12:43 GMT1
NB Before anyone starts on the pedantry, I know it's not really push
(since you must have a full-time connection to the server) but with
T-mobile's GPRS deal it seems likely to be "good enough" if you don't
mind the shortening battery life.
NEC e540 (N4111i) is it any good? Should I have bought Nokia or Motorola?04 May 2006 09:27 GMT2
I just bought a PAYG NEC e540 (basically the same as the N411i)
Trouble is the accessories are pretty hard to come by.
Is this phone a bit of a bad choice given that most phone sites dont
even seem to have heard of it?
