Avoid www.sms-txt.co.uk09 Aug 2006 23:11 GMT9
Looking cravenly for free online texts, I registered with
www.sms-txt.co.uk. Don't bother with them. It's a scam. They don't
charge you, they charge your recipient! They don't send your text, the
receiver gets a text notification to contact a number in order to
Orange network problems this evening?09 Aug 2006 23:04 GMT18
Is anyone else having trouble with Orange in Edinburgh?  I've tried
phoning three different people this evening and can't get through to any
of them - either get a 'connection error' or just some beeping.  No
ringing, no engaged tone, no answerphone message.

I have a K800i
Just got text from a friend, and it didn't recognise number. So I thought
perhaps it was a double entry, so deleted the persons contact to find out
where else it was saved - still doesn't recognise it.

I have a mobile phone (Sony Ericcson Z600) that can connect to the
Internet using either GPRS or GSM.
How does the GPRS work exactly, are the packets sent from my phone to the
mobile masts and then onwards or is the communication from my phone to
How get socket for 4-pin 2.5mm Nokia PHF plug09 Aug 2006 20:28 GMT3

This PHF worked on old Nokia 3XXX and 8XXX phones.  You can see the plug
in the following picture.  It's a 4-way plug.
Oprah's Phone (aka bordeline madness)09 Aug 2006 20:00 GMT11

don't want to be contactable09 Aug 2006 17:53 GMT24
You know sometimes you just don't want to be contactable, but folks
know you do have a mobile.  What are some solutions to not being bloody
contactable all the time.  Obviously switch it off, but does anyone
have any more subtle approaches/solutions !!

O2 CS upgrades system down for two days?09 Aug 2006 13:28 GMT1
I phoned O2 yesterday afternoon for an upgrade and their 'system' was
down and the guy said call back in about an hours time. Bad advice I
thought as it was 5:30 and the upgrade dept supposedly closes at 6:00
I phoned again this afternoon, and was told that the 'system' is down
Orange advice09 Aug 2006 10:51 GMT1
I am looking at getting a Nokia 6233 on orange, and have a few questions as it
is a 3G phone.
Do the data tarrifs work the same as GPRS, in that I would be able to access
the full net, rather than be in a walled garden?
Samsung software09 Aug 2006 10:50 GMT1

software so that I can sync the phone contacts with MS Outlook, back up
text messages and transfer files?
