Nokia N70 symbols31 Oct 2006 23:52 GMT1
I hate this phone.  Whenever I reboot it, I get a new and random
arrangement of symbols - sometimes a tape loop symbol (although my
network sends SMS notification of voicemail, so this is redundant &
misleading), sometimes a bent arrow shows up that's not mentioned in
OSPS Quickest Cashback Payout ?!31 Oct 2006 23:40 GMT2
Another balanced post in favour of Osps
Sent my last cashback claim in on 20th October, OSPS received it 23rd
October...
OSPS issued my cheque on 27th October and in my hand today :-)
Small MP3 player phone31 Oct 2006 20:35 GMT6
I am looking for a phone to replace my slightly knackered Nokia 6100. My use
is very light - I currently have a Vodafone PAYG SIM and spend around £5 per
month, so a contract only makes sense as a means to get a phone.
Other than texts and calls, the only feature I am particularly ...
Vodafone texting - problems on Fri morning?31 Oct 2006 17:24 GMT3
I can't send or receive texts suddenly on Voda contract. I rang 191 and they
said the SMC in southampton has failed and many customers are affected.
The phone still makes / receives calls, and I've tried the sim in a different
handset too, but it just won't send a text, i get ...
Probs after unlocking from Vodafone back to Virgin31 Oct 2006 08:20 GMT3
I unlocked my Motorola Razr V3 from Vodafone PAYG and put in a Virgin PAYG
sim from my previous phone, a Siemens S35.  It works mostly OK sending and
receiving regular texts, but won't send or receive texts with accompanying
pics. Is this because the old phone didn't have that ...
receiving sms from mobiles on BT landlines30 Oct 2006 22:39 GMT13
I've got a Philips SE 435 DECT phone which will send and receive SMS.
This works fine apart from SMS from a few mobiles which is always
rendered into VoiceText. Anyone know why this might be? Thanks.

Finding user of a number30 Oct 2006 15:05 GMT20
I'm getting daft texts from someone who says they know me but won't pick up
the phone when I ring and won't reply to my SMS. Is there anyway I can find
who it is by other means - it's from an Orange number?
(just for fun) Who has the oldest tariff/handset in use30 Oct 2006 11:56 GMT29
Like I say, just for fun. Someone was mocking my 3330 the other day,
but I bet it's a spring chicken yet!
Handsets have to connected and in at least weekly use-not in a drawer.
Many old tariffs would be poor value today, but anyone still on 'U'
MSN Messenger for your phone (on three)30 Oct 2006 09:49 GMT3
This looks good in theory
Does it work well? is it easy to use? is it really free?
(surely it means whilst this app is running you can't see the normal
menu/screen - does it alert you if you have an incoming phone call)
Voda data card was supposed to simplify things...30 Oct 2006 09:44 GMT2
I occasionally use my laptop out and about, and have used GPRS to get me
online in remote areas. Orange's Orange World Access Daily PAYG bundle
(usually) works just fine for me.
It is, however, a bit of a faff. To cut a long story short, I didn't

Don't forget to put the clocks back before you go to bed on Saturday night!
Charges for Orange free-phone calls29 Oct 2006 21:29 GMT17
I'm sorry if this has already been covered on the group, but I've just read
today's bill from Orange and they've charged me for 'BT Freefone' and it is
just to a commercial organisation and not to a calling-card service.
Have they slipped-up on my bill, do you think, or do they ...
O2 -  usage29 Oct 2006 21:29 GMT12
Is there a number you can dial with O2 to tell you how many free
minutes and texts you have left when you are on a contract?
Online billing is not much help and has quite a few days lag.
Cheers
