O2 Text 50 PUFL pay up front for life23 Jan 2007 20:10 GMT10
Is there anyone else out there on this tariff - sold in the run-up to
Xmas 2001, giving 50 free texts per month for ever (well as long as
the Nokia 3310 lasts)?
Since O2's new billing system was introduced in July, I've been

Activating PAYG SIM23 Jan 2007 19:50 GMT4
I bought a phone (Nokia 1600) the other day. When I opened the box,
there was a second SIM card inside. I've unlocked the phone, but if I
put the SIM in it won't work.
Does the SIM have to be "activated" somehow by the retailer? Is there
Eeek! Phone died - what's a good "off the shelf" sim-free deal?23 Jan 2007 12:58 GMT4
Bugger, phone just died. Really really about time I had a basic camera phone
that can receive MMS.
I've seen various sim-free Sonys and stuff in Aldi and Lidl around the
£50-£60 mark.
N73 on O2 firmware23 Jan 2007 12:39 GMT7
Is it possible to upgrade the firmware to version .0.0.3 on O2? It's
currently on version .0.0.1 and when I use the Nokia updater software it
just says that there are no updates available.
I know that Nokia has made the firmware update available but are O2 blocking
Duplicate texts being sent/received - any ideas how?23 Jan 2007 12:02 GMT1
Any GSM/SMS technical experts out there? Wild guesses also
appreciated... ;-)
Recently I have been hearing that some of my outgoing texts are being
received by the recipient twice, usually with several hours in between.
Problem with O2 contract change23 Jan 2007 11:18 GMT6
I used to be on O2 250min contract for 30 quid. At the last renewal in
December, I asked for my pac and was offered the lowest possible
retention contract for 5.99 which suits my needs well. Unfortunately,
O2 continues to take the 30 pounds off my direct debit. I rang them
SMS Centre on N73 with 323 Jan 2007 10:00 GMT4
I decided to "take the plunge" and join 3 at the weekend. Been playing
around with the N73, but it doesn't want to store the SMS centre number
(I can send texts if I type in the centre number each time I send a
text).

Nokia 6630 on 323 Jan 2007 01:04 GMT3
Just wondering if what I've read all over the place is that it currently
is impossible to unlock this fella, and that I'll be better off getting
a 3 sim card for now.
Is this right ?
6230 error message23 Jan 2007 00:43 GMT2
Each time I turn my phone on I get a STOP error message saying "check
connection settings"
However the GPRS, email, and MMS do work fine.
I deleted unused connection settings (by entering *#335738#) but I still get
PAC codes. Is there a set time to get them?22 Jan 2007 22:03 GMT5
Is there a standard time set that the network should send you your PAC after
requesting it?
I've now had to ask o2 twice for my PAC in the space of 2 weeks and still
they haven't sent me it. Anyone know if there are standards set out?

Switching line from ntl to BT, cancellations, aghh!22 Jan 2007 20:16 GMT2
We've decided to switch our line from NTL to BT. We'd ideally like to
keep the same number.
We called BT yesterday and arranged for an engineer to come out (16th
Feb). After that was done, the operator told us that we needed to call
