Vodafone, keep quiet or try for an upgrade?23 Feb 2007 21:54 GMT1
I currently have a very good deal, £9 a month for 200 mins anytime and
250 texts with stop the clock. Coming to the end of  my first ever
contract (18 month deal) but do not want to lose the £9 contract if i
ask for an upgrade. Is the upgrade lark just an excuse for up selling
Changing a number23 Feb 2007 20:52 GMT6
I need some advice and thought I'd see what the group thinks.
I've had the same mobile, on Orange, for about 9 years. However, for
reasons I won't go into, I need to change it.
What I am after is the best way to change the number and yet have some
Leaving Orange, T-Mobile or Three next ??23 Feb 2007 19:52 GMT1
I'm leaving Orange after many years as there are better deals
elsewhere. Itemised billing appeared on my last bill which was the
straw that broke the camels back.
I'm on 120 X net minutes for 25 GBP and 1 or 2 texts per month is a
Vodafone 3g data card + vista + windows live messenger problem23 Feb 2007 14:56 GMT1
Has anyone got the new Vodafone 3g Vista software working with Windows
Live Messenger? I can use messenger no problem with a wireless network
or a wired network, but when i try to connect using the 3g network I
get an error starting up messenger. It worked fine before I upgraded
New 3 Contract - which phone?23 Feb 2007 13:58 GMT9
3 have offered the Sony Ericsson 610i or the Nokia 6280.  Can anyone
point me in the right direction for the best phone?

Sim4travel and O2 txts23 Feb 2007 12:28 GMT1
I am trying to send txts from my O2 phone to a phone which has a Sim4travel
sim installed.  The text messages never arrive.  If I prefix the message
with *#0 then I get a response indicating message rejected.
I have tried sending via other phones fitted with O2 sims and get the ...
Data/Email costs for Blackberry on O2 or tmobile23 Feb 2007 08:04 GMT1
I am looking at a Blackberry 8100 on t-mobile or O2.
On another handset, web n walk is an extra 7.50 per month, however T-mobile
advise that I need "instant email" for the Blackberry to enable webnwalk at
an extra £10.00 a month (but offer a discount of £2.50).  Therefore
Nokia N95 released23 Feb 2007 07:38 GMT9
I see that T-Mobile are offering the Nokia N95 on their Flext deals.
Hopefully others will not be far behind.

sms over gprs incoming / MT23 Feb 2007 07:23 GMT1
I am interested in finding out the maximum number of incoming sms per
minute to a uk mobile or modem.
Do the uk networks deliver over gprs? What is the approx incoming

Orange smallest mobile network?23 Feb 2007 01:07 GMT46
I am sure I saw some figures the other day (can't remember where) which
showed Orange has the smallest number of subscribers except for Three,
it made me think that I am also sure at some point a few years ago
didn't Orange hold the top spot? If so it shows how far they have
Unlocking SonyEricsson P910 in Edinburgh?22 Feb 2007 22:47 GMT5
A friend has very kindly given me his 'old' SonyEricsson P910 mobile
phone. However, I need to have the phone unlocked in order to use it
with my Orange SIM (the phone is Vodafone-locked and -branded, if that
makes any difference; ideally I'd prefer to lose the Vodafone branding,
Advice PAYG22 Feb 2007 21:36 GMT1
I have cancelled my land line. I hardly ever use it but my son canes
the crap out of it - so its going. I figured in would be cheaper to
give him a PAYG mobile and put credit on it once a week. I put £10 on
mine last September and still have £3.80 left - so shows how much I

Which of the generic HTC based units are 3g and have built in GPS?22 Feb 2007 12:34 GMT7
I'm bored with my SE Z1010 on Orange 3g.
As long as they get the bloody masts back up soon, I'd be happy with the
service again, but I'm damned if I'm going to pay £200 for a phone only
upgrade after I've been a customer of theirs for 2 years.
