How to upgrade Firmware for Nokia 8310 and 6510? - (now unsupported?)27 Apr 2007 07:03 GMT1
We use a Nokia 8310 and a Nokia 6510. They're old, but we like 'em!
However they both suffer from a firmware bug where the phone crase and
reboots, usually when you're about to send a text. Now if this was a
few years ago then we could just have the latest firmware added at a
Camera 'snap' sound26 Apr 2007 16:42 GMT4
Yesterday my camera on my K750i stopped making the 'shutter shutting'
sound that comes with the picture being taken. Pictures are still
being taken and although I would of liked it to of been a bit quieter
its not the same without the 'cuhcheed' I used to get. Could be simply
O2 Renewals - Gone really bad!!!26 Apr 2007 08:31 GMT4
Been with O2 Online contract for 3 years now. Always got brilliant deals out
of them on 12 month contracts. Managed to avoid 18 month contract last year.
Last year my average spend was £25 and so as this was considered low, i
couldn't get the SE W800i for free.
Noikia N95 querries26 Apr 2007 08:28 GMT1
I'm after a Nokia N95, but my current call usage is under 200 mins/
month and I'm paying £25 on Orange price match (OVP?) for an old Virgin
tariff.
I have in mind the £35 Flext with T-mobile, plus Web&Walk at £7.50 per
Bluetooth always on with Nokia N73 ?26 Apr 2007 07:14 GMT5
Although bluetooth is off the damn blue led keeps flashing, is this
fixable in anyway. Also the few pics I've taken are not that great
nothing like the samples I've seen on various reviews etc though these
have only been indoors so far
Nokia 6300 & Line 226 Apr 2007 05:01 GMT4
I've just been handed an o2 contract Nokia 6300 as an unwanted upgrade
from my dad.  I am currently on an Orange ye olde OVP Virgin / ED50
contract.
The Line 2 options seem to be missing from the 6300 menu's.
Another O2 renewal question25 Apr 2007 22:52 GMT10
CPW phoned me yesterday as my O2 contract is due for renewal/cancellation
soon. They offered 125 mins and 100 texts for £25 with a 50% cashback (£168)
after 3 months (no handset upgrade) and i agreed. Having second thoughts
today, particularly after reading posts here, and rang ...
Mobile Static IP25 Apr 2007 20:25 GMT4
Hi, does anyone know if any UK mobileco offers a static IP address
with any of their 3G or GPRS datacard products?  Or failing that is
there any third party provider that offers any sort of VPN service
that would allow me to present a static IP from a 3G or GPRS mobile
Locking 3 to 3G network25 Apr 2007 19:33 GMT20
I'd like to switch the handset on my 3 account to use an ex-O2 K800i.
I'm assuming that this will operate on 3G only, as it doesn't have
the 3 modified software.
Can anyone foresee any problem I should be worried about ... ?
What's the best deal on Orange at the moment?25 Apr 2007 17:23 GMT10
I have an Orange phone (6230i) on a Talk 200 contract plus Everyday 50
on the second line.  I've had the contract for well over a year and am
trying to get a better deal.  I mainly use the phone for talking with,
perhaps, half a dozen texts a month.
Video call on MSN and 325 Apr 2007 09:59 GMT6
Quick one....if somebody is sitting at a PC using Windows Massager and a
webcam, can I use my 3 3G phone with Windows Messenger and video phone
(Nokia N73) and talk to them "face to face"?
Has anyone paid for full GPS on N95?25 Apr 2007 07:52 GMT4
If so please could you tell me - with the full routing does the
positional map rotate to show the road relative to your direction or
does it stay in the North only view as in the cut-down version?
TIA
Date and Time missing from Samsung d900 Meta Data24 Apr 2007 19:06 GMT5
I have recently purchase a Samsung SGH-D900.
The pictures it takes do not have the Date and Time
information attached. A real pain. Is this typical of
all mobile phone cameras? Or just a missing feature
Credit Check Charges By Mobileoutlet.co.uk24 Apr 2007 18:58 GMT6
On 12th April I applied to themobileoutlet.co.uk for a phone on
T-Mobile . This was declined by the Network . A few days ago I noticed
two chages on my bank account ...one for £2 by T-Mobile and one for
£1.99 by Mobilematters . The T-Mobile one was refunded but not the
Nokia 5300 stuck in Test Mode24 Apr 2007 17:41 GMT1
Last Saturday I bought my daughter a brand new Nokia 5300.
I set the phone up for her and everything seemed to work just fine.
Then late Sunday evening she brought the phone to me saying it wouldn't
work.  I looked at the screen, and it said 'Test Mode'.  None of the buttons
