Sending SMS from PC19 Apr 2007 10:03 GMT8
Can anyone recommend a package for sending out a few dozen SMS messages
at a time from a PC?  Either via internet or modem is fine.  This is not
a spam enterprise!
Thanks,
Orange SyncML19 Apr 2007 09:40 GMT7
Is anyone successfully using the Orange SyncML service? I can't get it
to accept my username and password. I have tried using "447855..." as
the username and the password sent to me via SMS but to no avail.
I have been unable to find anyone at Orange CS who have a clue about
Truphone attacks Orange for crippling their phones by removing VoIP features19 Apr 2007 07:29 GMT2
Interesting piece of news in the Register today: Truphone, a company
supplying VoIP services for Symbian smartphones, has lodged a complaint
with OFCOM against Orange's crippling of their phones:

"My Vodafone" problems.18 Apr 2007 18:42 GMT1
Myself and Mrs Pops both use the "My Vodafone" service to check bills
etc, rather than get them delivered.
Over the weekend Mrs P received an email saying her latest bill was
available to view online, so she logged on via the vodafone.co.uk site
Alternative to T-Mobile WnW?18 Apr 2007 13:35 GMT18
I signed up last week to T-Mobile with WnW on a N95 (leaving O2 in the
process).
Despite using the coverage checker and being assured of good 2g coverage
in my place of work (Over Peover in Cheshire) I cannot get any signal at
SMS to email?18 Apr 2007 06:12 GMT3
Is there a service which will redirect inward bound text messages to email?
For example if I am unable to access my mobile phone for a day or 2 is there
a service which will forward SMS to an email account I can access?
Gareth.
Call costs when abroad and phoning another UK mobile that is also abroad17 Apr 2007 23:05 GMT2
I've been skimming O2's website trying to find info on this, and it
occurred to me that people here might know off the top of their heads.
What kind of costs are incurred if, while abroad, you phone another UK
mobile which is also abroad in a different country?  Is this considered ...
Will I be able to blag this?17 Apr 2007 22:21 GMT5
I just missed the o2 retentions close time by 3 minutes, but i'm gonna
try tomorrow.
The earliest date I've been given for an upgrade (from my Mini S) is
June 8th. (Today is April 17th)
K750i IMEI Number & Repair17 Apr 2007 21:38 GMT4
A colleague of mine has a K750i Sony Ericsson phone which has developed a

Best package for talk and texts17 Apr 2007 21:34 GMT4
I'm presently with Vodafone 200 minutes any time and network with 100 free
texts.  I think this costs £26.82 + VAT per month which includes itemised
billing.
Is there a better deal where I can possibly get more minutes and definitely
Spanish sim card17 Apr 2007 17:54 GMT2
I read last year to get cheaper calls from Spain to UK you could buy a sim
card in Spain and use it for your phone (providing its the same operator).
Do T-Mobile operate from Spain?
Is it possible to temporarily use a pay and go sim in a contract phone?
Stopping premium texts17 Apr 2007 16:41 GMT18
My son's just got home from school to tell me that he's been receiving
some sort of dodgy text all day at 1.50 a pop, which has eaten all his
Tesco PAYT credit (only just topped up with the minimum 10 GBP - grrrr).
He swears he has no idea why they started coming, and that he ...
Nokia Battery Exchange17 Apr 2007 09:32 GMT6
I've just bought a new Nokia 6300 and am wondering, given the rumours of
poor battery life (it's a BL-4C), if I could take the battery from my 6230
(BL-5C) and use it instead? Would it do my phone any harm? Would it work?
Would it extend the performance of my new phone?
O2 / T-mobile data tariffs17 Apr 2007 09:27 GMT7
I just a few days ago signed up with O2 on a contract.  It included 600 mins
calls, 500 texts and of course the long weekend free calls.
I have to admit to not researching telecoms tariffs properly and I see that
their data tariffs are really expensive and its only inclusive of ...
