Bought an Orange pre-activated PAYG SIM pack, not registered in any name.
Put it in a SE K550i, then accessed Orange World and paid 1 pound for a days
browsing.
Connect K550i to laptop, open SE PC Suite and connect to Internet.

Is there a list of bad characters to use on SMS?
I tried some experiments sending using 18185's cheap SMS web page and
receiving on a Nokia 6300:
(a) A pair of angle brackets in the message closed the sending window

just received a samsung e900 on orange contract,
it came in a samsung box with a orange sim taped
to the outside. when I've had phones on orange
before, they have been in an orange box with sim

can a mobile phone operator charge one for receiving a phone call or
text message while in the UK (i.e. not roaming).  Or does this
contravene oftel regulations
