I've just done my yearly Contract renewal call to O2. The phone is rarely used (I have a business phone, this is my private phone), so for the last 3 or 4 years I've got to the year end, and asked them to cancel the Contract, and change it to PAYG.

I am jetting off to india for a couple of weeks and want to buy a UK phone to take over there that I can use with a local sim(Indian). I am looking for a dirt cheap phone so it does not need any fancy functions.

Posted a couple of weeks ago about my online account settings being wrong (basically my payg account signed me into my contract number and vice versa) After exchanging a couple of emails the problem has been sorted and I can now sign into my contract account with the right number.

Ok, currently we are using two phones on Virgin PAYG. Circumstances have changed recently and we are now spending around £50 to £60 per phone per month and will continue to do so for perhaps another 8 months.
