My wife has had an Orange PAYG phone for several years.  As far as I know,
her credit never expires if she sends or receives a call about once evry 3
months, EVEN if the calls are not answered.

I have downloaded the maps via Wi-Fi and used the GPS to monitor my

I only make about 15 mins of calls a month, probably less than 50
texts a month, a few picture messages, and upto about 10mb of mobile
internet use max. So I am mainly using it for texting and mobile
internet.

I am trying unsuccessfully to connect to T-Mobile 3g (HSDPA) I have tried it
on two phones different models and manufacturers with PAYG sims.
Both state a good 3G connection but get stuck on <Locating> when I try to
