FreeUp Weekend Minute Promo Question17 Jul 2003 00:21 GMT3
Does anyone know how long VZW plans to run the promo where you reup
witha $50 card or higher and get 200 free weekend minutes?
And, if I would reup with (for instance) a $100 card, would I get 400
free minutes?  Is there a limit to the number of free weekend minutes
Cell phones and elderly people17 Jul 2003 00:17 GMT23
I finally talked my mom into getting a cell phone at Verizon. She really
likes making calls on it. Sometimes she asks me why no one calls her on her
cell phone and I tell her that it's because it's not turned on. For some
reason my mom likes to turn off her cell phone when she's ...

I'm in NC, but have a friend in St. Louis who is wanting to change cell
companies at his business.  He travels quite a bit.  He knows I'm happy with
Verizon in my area (and the only metropolitan areas inwhich I travel) and is
wondering if he should switch from AT&T to Verizon.  Much ...

Verizon Wireless has this listed as bullet number 3 on their website.
Based on the Worry Free GuaranteeSM, what can a consumer expect from
Verizon Wireless?
The Verizon Wireless Worry Free Guarantee shows our commitment to
American roaming network, or lack of, on VZW.16 Jul 2003 04:42 GMT6

Verizon / Area code scam16 Jul 2003 03:58 GMT5
I received a voice mail from someone that I don't know. He left me his
phone number which is in the 441 area code. Like an idiot, I called him back
on my Verizon cell phone. A message came on that said:
"You've reached a payphone. Please wait to be connected."

LG phones and the "little rubber plug thing"16 Jul 2003 00:51 GMT2
I know every LG phone I've used before (V111, VX1 and now the VX6000) had
the little piece of rubber that plugs up the metal contacts at the bottom
of the phone (for use with car charger, etc.) But I've never really been
sure of whether it's necessary to keep the plug, and ...

4400 v a530?  Comments on battery life and RF?15 Jul 2003 20:21 GMT4
Thinking of getting the a530. While I'm familiar with the 4400's signal
strength and battery life, I'd appreciate the input of others that have had
first hand experience with both so as to compare.
Thanks.
