FREEUP QUESTION and SHOULD I SAY GOODBYE TO ANALOG?09 Jul 2003 22:40 GMT4
Question here.  I've been a GTE Wireless/Verizon customer for 5+ years.  I
am pleased with the service and will likely remain with Verizon until the
cows come home.  (Do I hear a "moo?")
I am seeing that a number of the newer phones coming out do not support
LG 6000 Questions09 Jul 2003 20:00 GMT2
Hi, anyone have the 6000 yet?  If so, how do you like it, and can you answer
a couple of questions?
How's the pic quality?
Can the pics be emailed to a standard email address?  (Me@mydomain.com) or
When will 1900 spectrum in NYC Metro go live?09 Jul 2003 19:51 GMT9
Now that Verizon closed on the northcoast deal, and verizon owns 1900 + 800
mhz spectrum in NY Metro, when will the 1900 spectrum become active?  In the
current prl, I only see 800 spectrum for NY Metro.  Having both 1900 + 800
would be a huge benefit, because many areas are so ...
Voicemail down09 Jul 2003 17:41 GMT1
For some reason my voicemail has been going down quite frequently for the
past few days, when you call it you get the Verizon guy saying "We're
<pronounced "were"> sorry, the voicemail system is currently unavailable."
Is this because they're upgrading to a new system, or is there ...
7135 - buy now? later? or something better?09 Jul 2003 17:17 GMT2
Well, I really fell in love with the Kyo 7135 and I'm wondering if now
is as good a time as any to buy, or does this phone ever go on sale or
ever have a rebate attached to it?  The current cost in NYC appears to
be $499.99 for a 2-year contract or $529 for 1-year.  Can the phone be
v120e09 Jul 2003 16:02 GMT7
I recently replaced an aging Nokia (don't remember the model # but it was
terrible) with a Motorola v120e.  After reading the various cellular
newsgroups it appears that I may made a mistake in my choice of phones.
I have only had the v120e for a few days now but for my basic phone ...
Detroit business accounts contact needed 09 Jul 2003 13:13 GMT3
Does anyone know if Verizon has a central business accounts office in
Detroit?  I would like to discuss new service for my company, but each
time I call the Regional office on Northwestern Hwy. in Southfield, I
get transferred to either a national sales switchboard or a local
2nd phone exchange in 15 days09 Jul 2003 12:16 GMT5
Has anyone had a problem with this? As I was gathering my phone
stuff together to return it tomorrow (to Verizon) I just noticed on
my receipt a disclaimer that states they only accept one exchange
in a 15 day period. Does this apply to those of us poor smucks

I'm going to the airshow in Oshkosh later this month. I'm wondering if I
will be able to get EN service there? Anyone have any experiences? How
about general VZ coverage around that area??
Thanks,

What phone has a large text message buffer???09 Jul 2003 04:31 GMT5
I am interested in receiving text messages of about 250 characters.  I was
told most phones cut the message after about 110 characters.
Is there any phone out there that will fill the bill??
I know about the Palm etc. but would not like to spend $500.  It would be

start up) my LG vx10?  It can be annoying.
Phone Recommendations Please09 Jul 2003 03:50 GMT5
My current phone that I've had for almost two years is a Nokia 3285.  Ear
volume and clarity is terrible at best.  I'm finally getting around to
seriously consider a replacement.  I don't want a flip type phone nor do I
want/need one with a color screen.  I've heard that the color ...
Boston/DC/NYC and Maine09 Jul 2003 03:40 GMT4
I am shopping for a provider  -- can anyone give me some advice?  I live
in Boston and frequently have to travel to DC, NYC and Columbia, MD.  I
also travel to central and western (rural) Maine.  How is Verizon
