AIM via WAP is working30 Jul 2003 06:21 GMT5
Considering all the arguing that's taken place in this newsgroup
regarding the unavailability of AOL Instant Messenger via WAP, I thought
some folks may be interested in knowing that last night I successfully
accessed AIM via WAP through Verizon's standard WAP gateway.
ESN???30 Jul 2003 05:56 GMT5
I just activated ESN on my NSR plan at no extra cost....just plan minutes.
My question now is...what do I need to get started? Do I need an "Air-card"?
If so which one(the cheaper the better), or can I use my V60i & a data
cable? Should I buy the mobile office kit? I have used Q2Net ...

Anybody know how to essentially "reformat" the Motorola T720?  I'd like to
have it erase everything that I put in the phone and have it set back to
factory conditions.

Is this a fix for dropped calls??30 Jul 2003 03:06 GMT4
I have been having problems with dropped calls/static filled calls on two
lines of service.  I'm under contract until May 2004.
Both lines have been using LG TM 510.  I have used other phones on one line
of service (Moto V60c, Sharp Z-800, Timeport P8767) just to try and find a
Cell # carry-over law?30 Jul 2003 03:00 GMT9
Word out on the street there's a new law released which allows
carrying over your mobile # to ANY other Cell provider within the U.S.
When will this be effective?
Any ideas?
Sending Sounds To Myself on VX600030 Jul 2003 01:30 GMT4
I'm working on a Mac, with several .mid sounds that I'd like to add to
my VX6000.
I've tried emailing them to myself, but the attachment doesn't seem to
come through with the message.    And when I send it from VZWPIX they
Why no more analog??30 Jul 2003 01:20 GMT14
WHY is Verizon offering new phones that are strictly digital?  I don't
understand.  I travel a lot, and in PLENTLY of places the only service
I can get (v60i) is analog.  I am happy with my phone, but I need
second one for my wife and would like a smaller one, but they all seem

I need to update my software because I am getting a false roaming message on my

Does A530 have a standard 25mm headset jack?29 Jul 2003 23:05 GMT1
Sorry to ask this but I'm on a business trip now at a place where there
are no Verizon stores around so I could see for myself.
Thanks!
Koyocera 7135 - Call Fading29 Jul 2003 22:53 GMT3
What is with this phone - The other party can't hear you or thinks that
you're talking away from the microphone (ignoring or not paying
attention) - Volume goes so low it's annoying. My partner has gone
through three of them - Same problem!
LG VX4400 (Samsung A530?)29 Jul 2003 21:53 GMT1
Just purchased a new VX4400 (had v60c but it died). I like the phone for
the most part.
I definitely agree with a prior entry that the ring tones are not
suitable. They are also very loud in an office environment. I looked on
Service in Connecticut29 Jul 2003 21:32 GMT1
I am in the process of evaluating my carrier options as my contract with
sprint has expired. The area that I live, Bristol, CT, has many dead zones
and I frequently have dropped calls. Anyone have service in this area?
America's Choice NY to Mickey(Orlando)?29 Jul 2003 18:23 GMT7
Travelling south from NYC to Orlando Florida via I-95, what can I expect as
far as any roaming charges while I'm on the America's Choice plan?  Will I

for the entire trip or will I encounter areas that will ...
