Check Your Contract05 Aug 2003 13:34 GMT3
On July 28, I got the new VX6000.   I opted for the one-year contract,
in spite of the fact that it cost $50 more.   Today I got a letter
from Verizon stating that I've extended my contract by two years..   A
call to customer service cleared it up, but CAVEAT EMPTOR!
Tidbits from my VZ store visit..05 Aug 2003 07:46 GMT11
I went to a VZ corporate store today to check out the LG6000 and see
what info I could pick up. My usual rep told me that the Samsung 530 has
better reception than the LG6000, he has both phones. He got the LG
because of the camera, but he can make calls in more places with the
Express Network SO SLOW05 Aug 2003 07:35 GMT6
Tonight I finally got my VX 4400 up and running with Express Network,
after help from a seeminginly very knowledgable VZW tech who said just
to go out and buy a VX 10 Mobile Office Kit. It worked (1xRTT, NOT
Quick2Net) but it seemed like such a slow connection.
Washington DC subway systems...05 Aug 2003 05:45 GMT8
I like to know about the cellular service through underground stations and
tunnels.  I learned that coverage is only analog.  Are there any plans to
convert to digital in them?  I know that Verizon Wireless only has exculsive
rights and should open its network to other carriers.

I am connected to EN via a Kyocera 2235 and the last day I noticed the
blue back light perodically go on. Previously I only noticed this when
connecting. On looking more closely the display says <Dormant Mode>.
When I click on another link the light lights and it says <calling

Does anyone know the mechanics behind dropped calls? Specifically, if there

logic at the cell site determine which call gets dropped and  ...

I was wondering because there are 2 buttons on the side, one long one
that looks like its meant for PTT and a small one.  Also i think PTT is
coming this month or next month.  A vx rep came to our job site
wednsday, and left a brouchure with different phones.  There were boxes

Get It Now Hell05 Aug 2003 00:08 GMT1
Just got my VX6000 last week and really like the phone, lots of nice toys.
Funny thing is when I tried to get the Accuweather application from GIN it
wasn't listed. After a hasty call to tech support hell they told me that it
isn't available yet. Go back and get the 4400 they said, ...
Verizon resellers04 Aug 2003 22:47 GMT2
I'm considering a Verizon reseller for additional lines.  I will not
surrender my Western States plan, and I need to travel out of the covered
area.  I found one in Portland, Oregon and a second in Olympia, WA.  No
contract, America's choice plan, local phone number where I need it. ...

Motorola T720 vs. LG440004 Aug 2003 18:26 GMT6
Would you please give me your opinion as to what your experiences are
between the Motorola T720 and the LG 4400. They seem pretty similar other
than the T720 has a lot more standby time, but talk time is similar. And I
think the LG 4400 is a newer phone. Is there any difference ...
