On July 28, I got the new VX6000. I opted for the one-year contract, in spite of the fact that it cost $50 more. Today I got a letter from Verizon stating that I've extended my contract by two years.. A call to customer service cleared it up, but CAVEAT EMPTOR!

Tonight I finally got my VX 4400 up and running with Express Network, after help from a seeminginly very knowledgable VZW tech who said just to go out and buy a VX 10 Mobile Office Kit. It worked (1xRTT, NOT Quick2Net) but it seemed like such a slow connection.
