Verizon Portability- Landlines to Cell Phone01 Oct 2003 00:49 GMT36
This may already be out here on this board, but I just saw a news
release where Verizon Communications will allow its landlines to have
number portability with Verizon Wireless phones and vice versa. That
is really a great move for cell phone users that want to cut the cord

I just bought 2 LG6000's for my wife and I a month ago. They have worked

Updating PRL while away from home30 Sep 2003 23:36 GMT3
I will not be at my home until November.  I live in New York, however I am
currently in Boston.  If I update my PRL by using *228, will it damage my
phone?  Also, if this helps, I am on the AC700 Digital plan.

Anyone know a website or phone number to find out about the $50 VZW rebate

QNC Internet Access Question30 Sep 2003 21:23 GMT15
In my home area (around Albuquerque) I have had no problems using qnc
access or Express Network access with my LG4400.   We are now in
eastern OK with both digital and analog Verizon Extended Network
service.   When I try to sign on from either my laptop or Palm, I get

$60 restocking fee? Very poor Verizon reception in 95035 area.30 Sep 2003 15:14 GMT8
We live in the bay area (Milpitas, area code 95035) and need to get
new wireless service. After reading the web, we decide to go with
Verizon because it seems it has the best network in the bay area, in
the state of California and in the nation. We signed up the family
Outgoing Pix not delivered30 Sep 2003 14:02 GMT1
I have sent a dozen or more picture messages today and only a small number
of those were actually delivered. I was sending directly from the handset
using the same method I have used for hundreds of pictures in the past.
Anyone else having problems? There is no indication of ...
How the "Do Not Call" Situation SHOULD have been handled.........30 Sep 2003 13:42 GMT11

RCR wireless news30 Sep 2003 06:05 GMT1
Anyone notice that on RCR Verizon gets preference?  They got a massive
heading with the company logo included. Talk about publicity hounds!
Verizon wireless in Argentina30 Sep 2003 03:11 GMT1
Will a VZW CDMA phone work in Buenos Aires? I know it would be expensive but
it would only be a few minutes a month for 1 month. What networks are down
there?
Thanks
Weird problem with new LG VX 1030 Sep 2003 02:06 GMT3
My daughter just opened a new account with Verizon Wireless getting
the LG VX 10. When we call her from our home landline number (Boston
area, 617-268-xxxx),  she receives the call but all she hears is loud
static, while we can hear her fine. Now the weird part...if she calls
weird loss of service30 Sep 2003 00:39 GMT18
I was sitting here in my dorm room chatting with full bars. Suddenly I get
no bars and I lose my service. It's clear skies here. Whats up? I was
gabbing fine for 30 minutes then suddenly it drops off. I was stationary
too.
bill analysis30 Sep 2003 00:13 GMT1
Got my first AC Family Share plan bill and noticed the following:
MTM calls that are off-peak are being allocated to unlimited N&W minutes,
not the 250 MTM minutes provided to each of my two phones on the plan.  This
is true for *both* the primary and the secondary phone.
AC Coverage in Seward & Moose Pass AlasKa29 Sep 2003 23:44 GMT3
