Unlimited Mobile Web06 Sep 2003 01:18 GMT1
As long as GTE Wireless/Verizon has offered Mobile Web, I have been a
subscriber.  It ALWAYS has been billed on a "per minute" basis.  I've heard
from two different sources about unlimited Mobile Web (not to be confused
with the new unlimited Mobile Internet).
What's the problem with Nokia?06 Sep 2003 01:07 GMT38
I keep hearing all these stories about how Nokia's phones don't work
well with Verizon, but I've never heard the particulars of what
problems there are on the Verizon network with Nokia's.  What's the
problem?
Local Exchange  Nbr05 Sep 2003 23:41 GMT1
What's up with the limited selections of local telephone exchange numbers?
I cant even get an exchange number to call from my home phone without
getting charged. (I live in populated area).  The local Verizon store didn't
have much to say about it.

Anyone have the 555 card or the newer one? Are you satisfied with their
performance? What kind of Thruput are you getting?
I have a new LG VX6000, but I doubt they will have the data-cable out for it
anytime soon and I need the data service for biz travel.

4400 sounds bad with full 1x signal05 Sep 2003 06:13 GMT7
I've read through all the posts, and don't understand all the technical
stuff, but yesterday I called a landline phone (in the same area I was) and
the woman said she could hardly understand me--said I was breaking up
horribly.  I sounded bad to myself too, and my volume was turned ...

email to phone uses 'sender' header, not 'from' header05 Sep 2003 03:25 GMT3
If an email is sent to phonenumber@vtext.com, it shows up on the
receiving handset as being 'from' the email address specified in the
"Sender:" header, not the "From:" header.
This is a problem because webmail systems like those in use at many
V60p phone is fine04 Sep 2003 23:52 GMT1
The more we use our phones, the more we like them in our shop.  The phone is
easy to setup and use, menu system is quite easy to get used to.
Transmission is crisp, loud and usually pretty clear.  A coworker was on the
road about 40 minutes from me and the PTT function worked fine, ...
CCCC1--The Mind of an AssClown04 Sep 2003 21:35 GMT2
Hey CCCC-Done
So, do you post messages with "Sprealots", "Cingealots", and
"Alltealots" to the other newsgroups?
I was just wonderin' how the mind of an assclown works.
Which GPS is better?04 Sep 2003 20:12 GMT11
Both Cingular and Verizon put GPS chips in their neew cell phones to be
E-911 compliant.  They use different technologies.  Which one do you
think is better?
Need help choosing a used flip-phone...04 Sep 2003 18:59 GMT2
Have Verizon Family Choice Plan, and I am to take over one of the lines from
one of the kids. The Nokia phone we now have for that line is too big and
heavy for me; I prefer a lighter, smaller flip-phone for my pocket. I use
the phone only when on business travel, so compact size is ...
