Analog Problem with the VX 4400?14 Oct 2003 22:55 GMT4
I was told today by a VZW store tech that there is a known problem with the
4400. That being that when the phone slips out of digital into analog in
order to continue a call in a marginal area - when the call is completed,
you have to remove the battery and reboot the phone in order ...
Problems- AOL/ Mobile Web14 Oct 2003 19:31 GMT3
I was using Mobile Web to access AOL for many months.  A few weeks ago,
MobileWeb started forcing me to log-on to AOL each session, a cumbersome
process.
Customer service indicate they know of the problem.  Any idea what is going
Digital Alltel in Michigan14 Oct 2003 19:22 GMT8
I just completed a trip to my parents house in the UP (Gwinn, MI).  I'm
there right now.  Although by default with the current PRL the phones
won't pick up the digital Alltel signal once you get north of where I75
and US127 join (Since RFB cellular is higher in the list), I did ...
Minnesota AC Coverage14 Oct 2003 18:27 GMT3
I know I read that the new PRL takes away coverage in Minnesota, but from
looking at the local map it, pretty much the whole state is covered.  Did
they just take away some digital coverage and it is now analog?  My brother
lives in Minnesota, but my family lives in Wisconsin so ...
Destin.FL and Verizon14 Oct 2003 18:18 GMT1
I just got back from vacation in Destin.
I was SAD I could not send any PHOTOS with my LG6000 phone.
In Destin I roamed onto ALLTELL.Roaming agreement with Verizon.
But if I drove over to Ft Walton I was on 1x so that was GOOD.

Samsung A310 Software Upgrade Soon14 Oct 2003 14:23 GMT2
I was in a corporate store today and one of the repair reps told me to stop
back in a few weeks because they would have an upgrade for my phone. Sorry,
I didn't ask about the other Samsung models.

Verizon Service Availability by Zip Code?14 Oct 2003 06:53 GMT2
Is there a way to determine(without being there) if a Zip Code area
has Express Network or other Verizon wireless coverage?  For example
how do I find out what coverage is provided by Verizon in Zip Code

Verizon in Long Island, NY14 Oct 2003 05:26 GMT6
Can anyone tell me if Verizon works well in Long Island NY? I am
presently on a ATTW local plan in florida that doesn't allow me to
change plans. So I can't use my phone there without paying huge roaming
feee.
Occasional dropped calls14 Oct 2003 05:26 GMT5
Pretty new VZW customer (about a month).  Have had about 5 or 6 dropped
calls at various times.. mostly at night.  Just happened to me a couple
hours ago, and my phone (LG VX10) displayed "Call lost" IIRC, and my
signal bars were down to 0 or 1.. then immediately started coming back ...
Coverage to Florida14 Oct 2003 05:17 GMT6
I am planning on a trip from NY to near Ocala, FL and perhaps further South.
I have a couple of questions.
1.  Will I be roaming heading down Rt 95?  It appears that there are wide
gaps.
Antenna14 Oct 2003 04:25 GMT5
Silly question: does the antenna on a cell phone really do anything?  I've
got an LG VX10, and I've never noticed any difference in the # of bars I
get with it extended.  And the same went for my old Samsung SPCS phone.
