Crosshairs on V120e?09 Oct 2003 10:37 GMT3
What is the symbol on the V120e display that looks like a set of crosshairs
(circle with a cross inside), near the upper right of the display? I can't
find anything in the manual that explains it, and it seems to be always on.
A new phone for a new area code09 Oct 2003 07:31 GMT5
I am interested to get a phone number within 619 area code as it makes it
easier for people to call me without dialing a 917 to me and to them I
appear to be local.
I asked VZW. They said I'd have to purchase an entire new plan as 619 is not
Screwed out of money!09 Oct 2003 05:52 GMT87
I looked at my bill online and I was shocked to see how much it was. They
charged me 45 cents/min for calls on my second line that weren't M2M or
night/weekend. I called up and they said "Your account is set up for PTT and
Family Share Plan. Those aren't compatible with eachother." ...
Activating old phone ?09 Oct 2003 01:34 GMT10
Question:
Can I activate my old phone at will and then reactivate my new phone?
I have a new VX6000.  My old phone is a Kyocera 3xxx handheld.  I have
a data cable for my old one while I wait for a data cable for my new
15 day trial period?09 Oct 2003 01:27 GMT61
I just bought the T730.  I have 13 days left before the trial period is up.
Question is, if I am not satisfied with the T730, will I be able to exchange
it for a new phone within this trial period.  I heard a lot of bad reviews
about the T730.  I hear good reviews about the LG 4400. ...
Dropped Calls - Need new phone -???'s09 Oct 2003 01:10 GMT6
I recently presented a 6 month  log I created and maintained of all dropped
calls to Verizon Wireless Customer Service.  I've been using an LG 510
phone.
After an internal investigation, Verizon told me that the amount of dropped

VZW Employees Should Mind Their P's and Q's08 Oct 2003 20:51 GMT9
VZW employees that post to any newsgroup (whether on their own time /
computer or not) and represent themselves as an employees should wise
up.
Major corporations have little tolerance for employees that
T730 & XP08 Oct 2003 17:36 GMT2

doesn't match the device.

Combination CDMA/TDMA or CDMA/GSM phone?08 Oct 2003 16:54 GMT5
Does such an animal exist?
There are some places in the US where CDMA is not available but TDMA is.
And of course we all know how much GSM is used worldwide.
Just curious to see whether or not this even exists. I highly doubt it,
New VZServer08 Oct 2003 12:52 GMT2
Wow, only 2+ months late, but they finally got us upgraded here, and I
can now login to the new web site.
My question is, when I dial #646, I am given a minute balance from Sept.
24.  The online balance doesn't even show a date.
V120e ringer volume08 Oct 2003 12:39 GMT15
It states in the manual that you can change the ringer volume and switch to
vibrate and silent using the left hand volume keys. Has anyone gotten this
to work? Can't seem to do it on either my, or my wife's phone.
What's with the "can you hear me now" guy?08 Oct 2003 06:42 GMT37
Verizon can't really test their network this way? It's totally non-
technical. What if they could not hear him, what would he do? Does he carry
a GPS system? I would think that network testing would involve much more
sophisticated equipment and procedures.
Help from the computer gurus needed.08 Oct 2003 05:16 GMT11
Here is the bottom line:
I want to use my samsung a530 phone and an old dell laptop to get on the
Q2N. I bought a serial data cable for the laptop, as the laptop has NO USB,
NO CDROM, and only windows 95 (Upgrading is not an option).
