vtext.com ringtones08 Oct 2003 04:47 GMT3
Now that Verizon seems to have some ringtones available on their vtext.com
site, has anyone used them successfully?  I'm not too keen on paying $1.99
for a whole bunch of them, but I might be persuaded to get two or three sent
to my phone.  I don't see any freebies there.  I'd type ...
Current/Former FreeUp Customers Thread08 Oct 2003 04:40 GMT2
This thread is for current or former users of Verizon's Prepay/FreeUp
service.
How long have you had FreeUp or did you have it before you quit?
For those who were a former Freeup customer and went to a postpaid plan,
Nokia replacement antenna ANGST08 Oct 2003 03:56 GMT9
Hi.  I was hoping that someone could help me with (what I thought
before contacting verizon and nokia) a simple question.
I live in the sticks of Maine and have a nokia 5160.  I bought it when
I lived in NYC and it has ATT service.  My antenna is broken and I

Cincinnati & EN08 Oct 2003 03:18 GMT8
Hi Gang,
I'm in Cincinnati and have a strong digital signal, yet when I sign on with EN
it stalls out in a minute or so and I'm dead in the water.
It still shows the minute time going, so I'm not offline....but there is no
V08 for Vx440008 Oct 2003 03:11 GMT5
Okay so I finally got it upgraded.  What did it do?  I have really only
noticed two changes.  1) It has smaller text for the date on the flip.
2)  It holds the signal a bit better.  It is now the first, and only
phone, that I know of that holds the signal all the way through a ...
50110 in NY state08 Oct 2003 02:40 GMT5
Has anyone noticed changes to coverage since updating to the new PRL in
NY state?  I updated my phone yesterday, and even though postings showed
there shouldn't have been any changes here, the signal at the house is
just as bad as it was before, but now instead of flipping between 3
VZW PTT08 Oct 2003 02:22 GMT73
I wonder if Verizon should just drop the PTT service all
together.  They have had previous success in the market without the
service.  Now it seems like the service is getting slammed by people
for being too slow etc.  If they want to do something like that, they
Sprint Phone on Verizon - WAP Browser08 Oct 2003 02:09 GMT2
I do know that you can activate a sprint (tri-mode) PCS phone on the
Verizon network. I have done it myself. The question I have is can the
WAP browser on the Sprint phone be used to access the Wireless Web via
Verizon? Basically I know that voice service works but I am unsure as
Audiovox 860008 Oct 2003 02:00 GMT1
Anyone have any experience with the 8600?  How good is it at holding a
signal?  Looking for a color phone that can hold a signal in  a fringe
area.
text meessaging "bundle"07 Oct 2003 21:48 GMT12
Verizon offers bundles of text messages (e.g. 100 for $2.99)  Is this a
monthly amount or literally a bundle which can be used at any time and then
repurchased?  Also, is there a way, like #MIN (by phone or web), to know how
many of these messages I have used?
Verizon and Rollover Minutes07 Oct 2003 20:38 GMT59
Any indication that Verizon has ever considered Rollover minutes as a sales
angle?

Question for David D.07 Oct 2003 19:25 GMT4
I have read some posts that lead me to believe that you work in a
Verizon Wireless store.  Let me ask you:
I am a new prepaid customer.  I know that shortly before I signed up
with Verizon, they had a promo running where if you added $50 to your
PTT Phones07 Oct 2003 17:40 GMT2
I am interested in getting the PTT feature however, I am not fond of the
V60 series phone (had them before and kept breaking antennas).  Any word
as to what else will be available in the not too distant future?
