Consistent Missed Call Problems05 Oct 2003 03:42 GMT16
I consistently have problems with missed calls on my 2 Verizon cell
phones.  They are both Motorola 7868 (StarTac) phones.
I have had this issue for a couple of years. I had thought it was a
problem that all cell phone users had.  The typical behavior is that
Free Up and VX3100 Question05 Oct 2003 02:02 GMT4
I am sorry if I am sounding like a complete and utter moron with all of
these posts questioning the Free Up coverage maps and such... but I am
so confused.
Yesterday, I bought a used LG VX3100 from a friend to activate on my
LG VX-6000 coverage???05 Oct 2003 00:19 GMT4
A friend of mine brags about his stupid Verizon phone and how awesome
the coverage is, but he has a LG VX-6000.  What is his coverage like
without the analog feature?  Where can I get a map to show him.  He's
one of these bozos that says, "I can call from anywhere to anywhere.
Anyone a victim of Phone Cloning?04 Oct 2003 23:41 GMT9
Reading through a string of posts about a customer who has been having
trouble tracking his minutes through #MIN... made me think of this
question.
Has anyone ever been a victim of having your cell phone "cloned"?  I

his for a newer color model and offered to sell me his... I would use it
on my Free Up Prepaid plan.
Does this phone have any known bugs or problems?  How is the reception
LG VX4400 Hands Free for the Car04 Oct 2003 23:38 GMT2
Well, I just picked up this phone and also tried out CCM's Universal
Handsfree Navigator unit. Unfortunately, this doesn't work well at all
because the sides that secure the phone block access to the 2.5mm jack. Even
if I move the phone so that the jack is accessible, the sides also ...

I switched from AT&T to Verizon. Here is my experience so far.04 Oct 2003 22:37 GMT11
I recently switched from AT&T wireless to Verizon. I travel throughout
the USA and Canada a lot on business so having Canada as part of my
plan is very important. Both companies offer this. AT&T charges 19.99
and Verizon charges 10.00 extra for Canada. Overall Verizon offers a

Samsung A530 long startup time04 Oct 2003 17:30 GMT2
I just got the Samsung A530. So far, it's a great phone. However, it
seems to take about 25 seconds from the time I turn it on till it has
completed it's startup cycle. My AT&T Nokia was ready for use in 2
seconds.
AOL 9.0 Question04 Oct 2003 14:45 GMT1
I have installed 9.0 and am using it successfully with my cellphone.
One question though, for someone who does "automatic AOL" and downloads
newsgroups.
I downloaded and can't find them.  They used to be in my filing cabinet, but
Confused about Free Up Roaming04 Oct 2003 14:29 GMT4
I am a Free Up Customer and had a question about roaming and how to
recognize if I am roaming or not.
I live in northern Indiana (near South Bend) and I traveled today to
Fort Wayne (Indiana), which is about 50 miles away.  When I went to
1xRTT coverage04 Oct 2003 14:12 GMT5
To those who seem to know CDMA really well:
I just bought some T730s and they seem to not hold a signal well.  Its
interesting that non-1xRTT phones in my house hardly drop calls,
whereas my T730s have problems.  I have swapped a phone out, but it
VX4400 Help04 Oct 2003 13:07 GMT15
I just switched from a ST7868W to a VX4400 in order to get EN, but am
tearing my hair out trying to get a data call out.  I have the
FutureDial serial-to-USB cable from Radio Shack.  I am running XP home
on a Toshiba Satellite.  The FutureDial driver installed just fine.  The
