Free Up Coverage Map Question04 Oct 2003 04:33 GMT20
I just signed up with Free Up this morning and I had a question about
Verizon's coverage map.   It differs from the regular ones that come
with the postpaid plan brochures... so I don't know if this is a
question only other Free Up customers can answer of not.
PING:  K.C. - tower location04 Oct 2003 03:15 GMT12
Is there any way to find out where a particular tower is located?  I
get a number of outbound calls listed on my bill as originating from
"Seneca, SC", which is a pretty long way from my home.  My local store
tells me that tower in question is actually in Simpsonville, SC, some
VX6000 Error save sound?04 Oct 2003 03:11 GMT1
Friend of mine has a few hundred midi files he gave me access to but on
a couple of them (aha_Take_On_Me) the phone wont save them. They are
well under 30Kb and Thinking I may have run out of room I deleted a
couple old unused sound files to see if that was the issue. Still no

it do? I now know what PRL stands for but What is ERI? I live in NYC

Slammed by billing software change!!!03 Oct 2003 20:37 GMT8
I live out west where we just went through the billing software change
a few weeks ago. After the change I checked everything out online and
all seemed to be in order. It did seem strange that your minute usage
didn't show as of any date. How are you supposed to know when it is up

EN MOU Status?03 Oct 2003 12:25 GMT10
I just got off the phone with the Verizon Data center (800-308-DATA).  I
was calling to try to get my laptop-to-EN connection working under the
MOU option.  They very VERY adamant that the MOU option is not intended
for use for "tethered" connections.  They indicated if such use ...
Flip-Phone or Candy Bar style?03 Oct 2003 07:25 GMT11
I was wondering what makes you prefer one over the other.  I like the flip
phones, since they're smaller, and because I don't have to worry about
accidently dialing someone when I role over on my phone after I pass out.
But the candy-bar style ones tend to be cheaper, like the LG ...
Mode settings03 Oct 2003 03:29 GMT1
This may sound like a dumb question, but being relativly new to the
cell phone world, I'm going to ask it anyway.  I just recently got a
lg vx4400 from Verizon Wireless.  I like the phone a lot.  My question
concerns the mode setting. Is there any advantage, or disadvantage, to
No new GIN apps this week?02 Oct 2003 23:31 GMT1
I've read here that new stuff comes out each Tuesday and since I got my
VX-6000 about a month ago this has been true. But this week there doesn't
seem to be anything new showing when I go into GIN. The 6000 desperately
needs some new games. I especially would like to see Qbert on it ...
Ability to end contract one month early?02 Oct 2003 21:16 GMT1
I was at a local VZW store looking at phones and was told by a salesperson
that there is a recent Federal law enabling people to terminate their cell
service contracts up to one month early without any penalty or the ETF.
I have not looked this up, but is anyone aware of this? Or ...
Dropped calls02 Oct 2003 20:39 GMT9
Is anyone else getting alot of dropped calls recently?  My wife and I
especially have trouble when calling each other on our phones.  The one rep
I talked to said it could be because of the PTT rollout, and associated
initial bugs they are trying to fix.
Any changes in CT and New England with new PRL 50110?02 Oct 2003 20:38 GMT1
Before I update our three family phones with the new PRL available I
would like to know if there are any changes for CT (specifically the
Litchfield area) or any areas in the Northeast?  Thanks to anyone who
knows what the new PRL includes for these states.
