When Verizon offers free m2m including areas where it is not a PSTN carrier
(where Verizon only offers mobile service), does that imply that Verizon
itself is transporting those calls directly, i.e. between the cell towers
used by the two parties. (Once a call gets from your mobile ...
QNC Data DOES Work on Prepay...and Express Network MOU Doesn't ;)13 Nov 2003 04:00 GMT3
Regulars here might remember that I have asked a few times if QNC data
(14.4) connections work with VZW Prepay/FreeUp accounts...but no one
was ever able to answer it for me.  Well, it does work, and I found
out quite by accident.
looking for a very good headset for the CDM950013 Nov 2003 03:58 GMT4
I have tried a few over the head speaker/microphone combos for this
phone, but none really do the job. Has anyone used one particular
model that they are satisfied with?
Ideally, I would just need a over the head unit that would hold the

Anyone here noticing a decrease in their battery life for the 4400?
After about 6 months mine seems to need charged more regularly.

Changing rate plans13 Nov 2003 02:04 GMT3
I was on the America Choice 300 plan and I switched to the 500 plan. I have
a LG 4400 phone with software version 8. When I called to have my rate plan
changed I was told to do *228 option 1 to reprogram my phone for the new
rate plan. I did that and I did not see any difference in ...

Verizon Wireless Website (Midwest Region) has the Samsung i600 for a
whopping $549.99. (No rebates showing , yet)
I think I may go ahead and get the Samsung i700 after confirmation of
upgrade of O/S to mobile 2003!
Mobile to mobile12 Nov 2003 17:44 GMT4
To use mobile to mobile on the America's Choice plan, do both people's phone
have to say digal & VZW network? Or can one or both be on digital Extended
Network?

LG4400 / AC Questions - Finally Jumped to Postpaid12 Nov 2003 14:41 GMT5
Regulars in a.c.v know me as one of the resident FreeUp/Prepay types,
with a lot of experience in that part of VZW service.  Well, I've
jumped over the fence to postpaid!  And it wasn't nearly as painful as
I thought it'd be :)  But it took my old, reliable Nokia 5185i's final
SPCS - Nights begin at 7pm12 Nov 2003 13:04 GMT14
just saw a commercial in the NYC market - SPCS changed their new plans so
that Nights begin at 7pm.  I'm guessing this was timed to fight flight when
number portability begins shortly.  Anyone hear anything about VZW
expanding their Night hours?
Nokia 3589i PRL Version/WAP Tunnel/Lock Code?12 Nov 2003 07:24 GMT4
I would like to check my PRL version number in my 3589 and would
appreciate any info about how to do that.
Also has anyone set up a WAP tunnel successfully on this phone?   If
so, how?
Some Thoughts About Verizon and AC12 Nov 2003 06:46 GMT17
Verizon's coverage in Oregon/Washington depends heavily on roaming partners.
Until late June of this year I had single-rate west family plan with two
lines. In early June, Verizon released a new PRL 50085 and coverage map
including virtually all of my home state(s) and including Del ...
November 17 Sprint tries PTT12 Nov 2003 05:14 GMT4
They have 2 Sanyo phones. One Candy Bar and one Camera Phone
for their "ReadyLink".
They have a different vendor do their VoIP, and claim its faster than
Verizon.
suggest a good used phone for Verizon?12 Nov 2003 02:12 GMT9
From the "ability to laugh at oneself" files....
Okay, okay, so my Motorola T720 found its way into the toilet one day
and doesn't appear to be drying out well.  Assuming I pooched it, I'll
need a replacement for the Chicago Verizon market.  I've called
Verizon Wireless Better Run By Vodaphone? Hell No.12 Nov 2003 01:59 GMT57
"About Dakota," you are an idiot if you think Verizon Wireless would be a
lot better run by Vodaphone.  Here are some of the many reasons you are
wrong-

Day two with a v.60p12 Nov 2003 01:43 GMT11
Day two...
It looks like the battery life is going to be pretty poor... the phone's
been off the charger, following a full charge, for only two hours and the
battery's already down to 66%. I hope this will get better with a few
