In the NY area today, many of the "Other" carriers announced new plans. Verizon has been conspicuously silent. When does the current cycle of plans expire? Do we expect to hear soemthing competetive from then by 11/24? If they wait until after that, many people will have

| GPS on 4400B | 27 Nov 2003 06:08 GMT | 2 |
And now a naive question... I know what GPS is, but why is it an option on the VX440B phone? Is the sole purpose for 911 to find your location, or can I obtain coordinates as well (if so, how)?

| 4400/6000 snow camping/backcountry | 27 Nov 2003 04:04 GMT | 7 |
Would the analog feature on the 4400 extend the average coverage area significantly (at all?) over the 6000? Obviously it won't matter if I'm miles away from a cell tower, but I'm wondering if this should be a selling point for me.

Goodbye, Cingular. Hello Verizon! My two VX 4400B phones just came in - they're charging now! Thanks to all for your phone suggestions. BTW, there was a rebate on the phones, so the VX 6000 and 4400 were not the same price. I would have

| LG 4400 for $99? | 26 Nov 2003 03:04 GMT | 4 |
On Verizon's website, under phones, it says that you can get the 4400 for $99.99. However when you order it, and go for a 1 yr. contract it then costs you $149. Kinda misleading huh?
