Dropped calls and replacement phone ?07 Jan 2004 10:47 GMT9
Recently my phone began dropping a lot of calls.  I tried reprogramming it
via 228 but this didn't help.  The phone is a VX1 purchased in August of
2002 with the insurance plan.  My contract has been up since last August and
I've been on the plan on a month to month basis.  Can I go ...
v60s/v60p AC PRL is incorrect07 Jan 2004 06:22 GMT13
I got my V60s yesterday.  The PRL that came on the phone was 50111.  I did
*228 and it upgraded to 50112.  Now "Verizon Wireless" is not listed
onscreen with this new PRL.  I checked my old V60i and it has 50113.
I read on www.wirelessadvisor.com forums that others with the V60p ...

Any realistic hope for a Bluetooth phone from VZW?07 Jan 2004 05:36 GMT3
I would really like to get Verizon based on the better coverage they seem to
offer in the L.A., CA area. But I want Bluetooth compatibility.
I've called and e-mailed Verizon. They seem completely unaware that there is
such a thing as Bluetooth and definitely don't know when or if ...

similar to a CellSocket system?
For those of you who re-up via the FU website (tax warning)07 Jan 2004 04:32 GMT6
Word of caution:
I just tried to add money to my account using the Free-Up website.
When I got to the summary screen, it showed the tax rate as 6%.  SC

no more palm phones?06 Jan 2004 23:56 GMT2
Verizon appears to have yanked the palm-enabled phone from their
offerings.  The kyocera 7135 has disappeared from their website.
I'm hoping this means they'll get the Samsung i500, but I won't hold
my breath.
Kyocera 513506 Jan 2004 22:08 GMT16
I bought a Kyocera 5135 on ebay.  Now I can get it activated on Verizon.
Tech at my local Verizon store says it is not compatible with their network.
This is a tri-mode cell phone. Shouldn't it work on their network.  Here's
the product link at Kyocera,

Porting/number change fee06 Jan 2004 07:50 GMT4
Before porting a landline to an existing VZW cell phone, I asked if there

charge on my next bill for a number change. The customer no-service people
said I had to pay the charge- I say I don't, so we're at an ...
