I need just a bit more signal to use my newly-acquired phone at home. Would a $10-12 screw-on antenna of the sort I see advertised on the net help at all? I know that the flat thingees are worthless.

I just called CS and while I was on, I asked about holidays. She confirmed what has been said here: New year's, Memorial, Independence, Labor, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. She also said she *thought* that since 7/4/2004 is a Sunday, we get 7/5 instead.

I currently have Startac 7868W and SNR. I never paid any attention to the roaming indicator, but I think it becomes solid "Rm" as long as I am more then about 50 miles away from my home area (NYC). I can't recall ever seeing it flashing.

I can connect to the v60s at 19.2K with a serial cable, and the modem connects at 14.4K. What are the correct serial port settings to connect with 1X? P.
