software to make your own voice ringtones for Verizon phones02 Feb 2004 07:05 GMT4
I only tested it on LG VX6000 and Audiovox CDM 8900 phones. But it
should work on other phones as well. Here's a link:
http://www.myPhoneFiles.com/software, you can also download ringtones,
pictures, and voicetones straight to Verizon phones. Let me know what

in this newsgroup already have 50128
Is there a reason for this?

LG VX6000 image size???02 Feb 2004 04:56 GMT3
I was wanting to make some graphics to use with my new LG VX6000 but I'm not
sure what the best size is to make them. My graphics program will let me
resize the image to different sizes but I'm not sure what size is the best.
Anyone out there that's made his/her own images that can ...
PRL 50113 on V60p (not V60s)?02 Feb 2004 04:34 GMT2
OK, it appears those of us who have V60p phones celebrated too soon
when we finally were able to update from the non-ERI PRL 50112 to the
ERI-enabled PRL 50128 yesterday.  Now we learn that the new PRL has
errors in it that are causing some phones to hang up on analog
FreeUp prepaid accounts - Why dial twice - ?02 Feb 2004 00:13 GMT4
I just opened a FreeUp 'PrePaid'  account and when I'm out of my local
area I have to enter a number twice, ie: dial it once then again after
a Verison recording comes on and says "now enter your number".  Is
there some way to solve this awkward requirement Verizon seems to have
digital coverage: NY Hudson Valley/Albany?02 Feb 2004 00:08 GMT15
I'm considering getting a new phone without analog
capability (LG VX 6000).
Most of my time is spent in the greater NYC area,
Long Island, and also the Hudson Valley:

Why are local plans and national plans so similar01 Feb 2004 22:17 GMT3
Question. Does anyone know why local plans and national plans cost the
same. On Verizon one can have 400 minutes on the local plan and 400 on
the national plan. AT&T gives a person 550 minutes/national for $39.99
and only 50 minutes more on local for the same price. There are
Blocking Call-Waiting on a Per Call Basis01 Feb 2004 22:06 GMT21
I've been trying to block call-waiting on a per call basis on my VZW
phone. I found an earlier post on this newsgroup but that method
didn't work. CSR told me this cannot be done-- call-waiting can only
be blocked permanently. Is this true?

interference between Nextel and Public Safety Communications01 Feb 2004 12:20 GMT1
I was watching this thing on America's Most Wanted about Nextel phones
interfering with 800 MHz public safety communications because the bands
overlap. Any idea how they expect to change this with so many people that
already have phones for the Nextel band? I think they wanted to ...
What if Vodaphone buys AT&T01 Feb 2004 07:09 GMT4
Hey, what if, as I'm reading Vodaphone is successful in acquiring AT&T
wireless? Does VZW become the ugly sister? Here we are hung to dry with CDMA
while it seems the rest of the world and many other's here in US are going
GSM and the better hardware development is being geared ...
