Voice Mail Options17 Feb 2004 16:25 GMT16
I have a LG VX4400 which, I think, has a built in answering machine.
I never paid any attention to this feature since checking Voice Mail
by dialing my wireless number came out of MTM. Now that checking Voice
Mail will come out of regular minutes using this answering machine
Analog never works for me in Orange County, CA17 Feb 2004 16:10 GMT12
I force my 4400 to analog and get a strong signal only to hear a reorder
(fast busy) when trying to dial anything.  I've tried local numbers, 611,
*611, *18, *19.... Everything *except* 911.  Why can everyone else force
analog and make calls and I can't?
VX4400B and SnapSync - Beware17 Feb 2004 09:00 GMT1
I got a LG VX4400B phone yesterday and tried to synchronize contacts
with the phone as a test.  To my suprise and horror, the voice dial
entries were munged to the point that parts of the phone think they
are recorded and the main voice dial menu shows no entries.  This

Big Winner of Portability?17 Feb 2004 05:02 GMT8
Has there been a big winner of the portability wars yet?  I know a lot
of people were predicting Verizon to be the big winner and Sprint/AT&T
to lose millions of customers... How did Verizon do as 2003 drew to a
close?  Did other carriers like T-Mobile fare well?

Now that I have a new Samsung, just wondering what would you recommend as a
good headset?
There are allot of many types out there, but...
...as you well know, you can't try them in the store before you buy them.

I've made my choice17 Feb 2004 01:37 GMT10
What a competition amongst the various cell phone manufacturers!
My first cell phone was the StarTac, my second was the V60i...
...both Motorolas and both with the echo problem that I find rather
annoying.
VX 4400 forgets schedules after 1 week.17 Feb 2004 01:03 GMT3
Schedules programmed weekly for an infinite period of time are forgotten after 1 week. Even though they are in memory and activated, do not alert when programmed to do so.
Anyone hear of a fix for this? I understand a s/w upgrade is due in about 1 month.
Thanks

has anyone had experience with the Audiovox 8900 or the Motorola 730
and their reception for analog? (The stores around my area won't be
