In my on-line reading/research prior to buying my LG VX4500, I read of several instances where people were keeping their old tri-mode or analog phones as backups, in the event of an emergency in a non-digital service area. Is this possible without paying a fee for

| Wireline to Wireless Port Question | 06 Mar 2004 15:16 GMT | 6 |
Anyone ported their landline to a Verizon wireless phone recently? How long did it take? Did you have any problems? Customer service is telling me it takes ten days or more for the port and I'm curious if that is accurate. I'm currently at eight days and waiting. TIA.

| EMS text-only msgs ? | 06 Mar 2004 14:31 GMT | 2 |
I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere, so I'll ask here. Does anyone know how EMS text messages are charged? If I send a long text-only message (>160 characters) is that charged as a text message, or as a picture message (or somethig else entirely)?

| Voice Mail checking... is it an IN-Network call? | 06 Mar 2004 08:05 GMT | 33 |
I just accepted delivery on three phones using Verizon's family plan (400 shared minutes national plan). When checking voice mail from the cell phone, it says that air time charges apply. Fine. But, on the primary line, I have unlimited IN-Network calling.

I have used a Motorola ST7868W for several years, and it has been an outstanding performer. Now, I would like to get a more modern phone. Thinking of the T730. Will the ST7868W accessories, like the car charger and hands-free amplifier plug into the T730? I really don't

I have recently went from a Sony Ericson T61 phone to a Samsung A310 to a LG VX4400B. In my house, I could use the T61 with no "Roam" showing on my screen. Extended Network showed and was used. I then upgraded to the Samsung A310. It was nice, but not color. It
