using a530 to connect to the internet ?06 Mar 2004 15:31 GMT1
It seems that Verizon doesn't have the mobile office kit for samsung a530
yet.
I wonder if there's already a solution out there for using a530 as a modem
to connect to the internet ?
Keeping tri-mode/analog as backup06 Mar 2004 15:29 GMT8
In my on-line reading/research prior to buying my LG VX4500, I read of
several instances where people were keeping their old tri-mode or
analog phones as backups, in the event of an emergency in a
non-digital service area.  Is this possible without paying a fee for
Wireline to Wireless Port Question06 Mar 2004 15:16 GMT6
Anyone ported their landline to a Verizon wireless phone recently? How
long did it take? Did you have any problems? Customer service is
telling me it takes ten days or more for the port and I'm curious if
that is accurate. I'm currently at eight days and waiting. TIA.
EMS text-only msgs ?06 Mar 2004 14:31 GMT2
I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere, so I'll ask here.
Does anyone know how EMS text messages are charged?  If I send a long
text-only message (>160 characters) is that charged as a text message,
or as a picture message (or somethig else entirely)?
Voice Mail checking... is it an IN-Network call?06 Mar 2004 08:05 GMT33
I just accepted delivery on three phones using Verizon's family plan (400
shared minutes national plan). When checking voice mail from the cell phone,
it says that air time charges apply. Fine. But, on the primary line, I have
unlimited IN-Network calling.
Old phones/new service, your advice sought!06 Mar 2004 03:37 GMT5
I've been reading this group, and others, and looked over the Verizon web
site and nowhere can I find an answer to menial questions.  I hope posting
them here will lead some knowledgeable soul to help me out, as has happened
once or twice - maybe even more - in the past.

Hey Verizon, Can you hear me now?  I'm going to NEXTEL06 Mar 2004 00:38 GMT22
This pertains to Chicago Market
In June 2003, I started experiencing lots of dropped calls on both lines of
my local digital choice service.  My equipment is LG 510 on both lines.  I
have had both phones in for service to ensure the latest software was

Thanks.
Startac ST7868W vs T730 Accessories05 Mar 2004 20:07 GMT3
I have used  a Motorola ST7868W for several years, and it has been an
outstanding performer.  Now, I would like to get a more modern phone.
Thinking of the T730.  Will the ST7868W accessories, like the car
charger and hands-free amplifier plug into the T730?  I really don't

Roam or Not to Roam?  How do I know?  Confusing?05 Mar 2004 16:53 GMT5
I have recently went from a Sony Ericson T61 phone to a Samsung A310
to a LG VX4400B.  In my house, I could use the T61 with no "Roam"
showing on my screen.  Extended Network showed and was used.
I then upgraded to the Samsung A310.  It was nice, but not color. It
Ohio Market Billing Changing in April05 Mar 2004 16:51 GMT2
It's been rumored, guessed at and mentioned here, but it looks like
they'll finally drag Ohio VZW customers off of the old OMNI billing
system next month.
Going to "My Account" for an Ohio customer drags you off to a new
Plan Upgrade Question05 Mar 2004 12:36 GMT4
I have the AC400 plan.  If I want to upgrade to the AC500, does that renew
my contract?
Also, what about the "New Every Two" promo.  Do they start from the plan
upgrade date and it's 2 years from that?

I was just wondering what the web address is to let Verizon know of a dead
