Lowest Cost Kansas City Local Plan?03 Mar 2004 02:13 GMT4
I'm in Kansas City with Verizon Wireless on a Local 1000 minutes for $39
plan. Great plan, I might add.
However, I recently received a Nextel phone and will end probably using
it as a my primary phone. That said, I'd like to keep my Verizon phone
Boosting Weak Signal02 Mar 2004 23:16 GMT12
My daughter just moved into an apartment where the signal is nearly non-
existant and often is just not there at all (walking distance to  Baseball
Hall of Fame).  Is there some way to deal with this, such as maybe an
external antennae, etc?
Verizon contracts02 Mar 2004 22:44 GMT4
We would like some input on Verizon contracts.
My wife and I have been with Verizon since August 2002.  We started
with the America Choice Family plan that had 300 anytime and (I think)
3000 nights and weekend minutes shared between 2 lines (we chose to
Phone update via verizonwireless.com question02 Mar 2004 17:10 GMT2
I was all prepared to order a new phone via the Verizon web site. I
selected my phone (Motorola T730) at a New Every Two 2-year contract
price of $59.99 (and $50 mail-in rebate!). So, sales tax is added, and,
on the next screen, I'm told my credit card will be charged $163 and
New Streamlined bill02 Mar 2004 11:38 GMT27
Enclosed in this months Verizon bill was an announcement beginning in
March our monthly bill will be a simpler "streamlined bill". The
details for individual calls will no longer appear. Then it says "If
you prefer to continue receiving call details on your monthly bill at
Kyocera QCP 3035 woes02 Mar 2004 03:50 GMT11
I bought a Kyocera QCP 3035 in July 2002. It worked fine for the first
year or so. But ever since then, I've had nothing but trouble. In
September or October the phone just would not stay on. If I picked up
the phone or put it down the wrong way, it would turn off. I took the
mail.airbridge.net02 Mar 2004 01:13 GMT10
I used to be able to sent email through Verizons POP email account
"mail.airbridge.net". I have lost my settings and can no longer use
"mail.airbridge.net". Can someone tell me the correct settings to set up an
email account using Verizon's POP email account?
VX4400 Battery Indicator - is this normal???01 Mar 2004 22:09 GMT12
I've had VX4400 for about 3-4 weeks now and I'm VERY frustrated with
the battery life and with flakiness of the battery level indicator. I
want to know, if what I see is normal. Otherwise, I'd take the phone
for repair.
Reception of text messaging from USA to UK01 Mar 2004 21:46 GMT7
I have been exchanging text messages with my sister in Baltimore for
over 6 months from Scotland UK. Recently however, since around
Christmas, her
texts only come through to me, all together in a bunch once a week,
T730 Motorola Fax / Data Capability01 Mar 2004 21:12 GMT1
I have an old IBM Thinkpad 700C laptop running on Windows 3.11 that
"pokes along" with its 25MHz CPU, but still manages to send and
receive faxes flawlessly with its internal 9600 bpm fax/modem when
connected to a landline telephone. I would like to connect it to my
Battery Life Confusion01 Mar 2004 20:07 GMT5
Some people forget that the closer the cell phone is to the tower, generally
speaking, the longer the standby and usage times.  The listed maximum times
assume that the phone is using the least amount of energy because it has a
full strength signal.  Also, analog mode, if there is ...
Question?? Switch vendors?01 Mar 2004 17:38 GMT1
Since the (VZW) merger, what switch vendors does VZW use in your market?
If you happen to know what switch and infrastructure vendor VZW uses in YOUR market,
please post this information? Also, what switch they USED to use, if you know.
Would anyone happen to know who Sprint uses?
LG 4400  Banner option01 Mar 2004 11:52 GMT7

When I change Menu-8-2-1 I never see what I enter show up.
(unless I am looking in the wrong place)

Quick 2 Net Down?01 Mar 2004 06:44 GMT6
Is Quick 2 Net still functional? Seems to be rejecting the qnc login/password.
Also an interesting note in the America's Choice plan brochure. "Use of
laptops, PDAs, etc, requires subscription to a National Access plan".
Yet, National Access is included as part of my America's ...
