Uploading ringtones with a physical cable27 Mar 2004 17:43 GMT1
How would I go about this.  I have an Audiovox CDM-8900 color flip
phone.
I've got a 4 second .wav file that I want to have as my ringtone.
What software do I need, and what hardware (cabling) do I need in

Family Plan Question27 Mar 2004 00:52 GMT1
Do all the phones on a family plan have to be from the same area code? I

but let keep their out of state telephone numbers. Is it allowed?
V60S and Downloadable Ringtones26 Mar 2004 23:31 GMT6
Just got off the phone with Verizon customer care, and they inform me
that the new v60's DO NOT support downloadable TXT ringtones.
Even though the specs I've seen on the web tell me that it does - the
Verizon rep I talked to seemed to indicate that if I was a free-up
Verizon may be raising prices on family plans, get them while you can...26 Mar 2004 18:40 GMT4
Historically Verizon had single-line options at say $25, $35/40, 50, 60,
etc. price points.  Adding a line has typically been $20 added to the 1st
line.   The only exception was the $25 starter plan which never had the
add-a-line option.
Box with crosshairs - what is it?26 Mar 2004 17:15 GMT5
I've noticed on both of the phones that I have had with Verizon that
there is a square with crosshairs in the middle of it that appears on
the display.  On my Nokia 3589i it is right next to the 1x symbol.
Does anyone know what this is and/or what it means?

I have noticed lately that when I go to check my minutes for my family
plan that if I check each line twice that often I get different minute
counts. I also notice that if I keep checking a line in the drop down
phone number box that eventually I get a "System unavailable message".

VX6000 USB Cable selection advice25 Mar 2004 16:19 GMT2
I¹d guess this has been asked numerous times since these cables are so
prevalent on eBay, but I¹d like to get advice on what are the negatives with
a USB/Serial cable as opposed to the more expensive straight USB cable? Are
people here using the cheaper USB/Serial cable here and ...
