verizon vs attwireless GSM22 Apr 2004 15:43 GMT4
I'm a Verizon user for years and generally is happy with the service.  There
are two things that I do not have with Verizon - international portability
(GSM) and better phones.  Now that ATT wireless, as I hear, has major
improvements with their GSM service and 850 frequency, I ...
"Location" on my LG 450022 Apr 2004 14:49 GMT3
On my LG 4500 phone there is a menu choice of "location", and it lets you
choose E911 or all the time.  I know what this is and means, but who other
than the 911 system would be able to use the location feature?  Are there
other people that can use this and find out my location if I ...

CDM8900 and vm/txt notification22 Apr 2004 03:44 GMT1
I recently purchased two Audiovox CDM8900 phones.  Neither of them seem
to give an audible indicator when a voicemail indicator or a text
message arrives.  The only way for me to know about the latter is to
look at the phone for the visible indicator.  How do I get the audible
Verizon SMTP Server22 Apr 2004 02:39 GMT2
I have been using "mail.airbridge.net" for my outgoing messages while
tethered with no problem - until tonight. Suddenly, there is no response
when trying to send email. Has anyone else had difficulty?
LG 6000 won't talk to computer22 Apr 2004 00:10 GMT11
I've tried both BitPim and SnapSync with my 6000, and neither see
the phone. Could it be the Radio Shack USB cable I've got? It's
supposedly specifically for the SnapSync program. No word back
from SnapSync on this, after four days.

For some this will be a plus; for others a negative. This

Verizon wirelees keeps your money if you close out the account.  Is that even legal?21 Apr 2004 12:58 GMT13
I have a beeper though verizon wireless.  I got a sprint pcs pone so I
called up verizon to close out my account.  The guy said I was owed $1.12
(or something like that).  He said that if they owe you $5 or less they will
keep the money.  I said send it to me (sense companies do ...
3 watt Bag Phone Help21 Apr 2004 05:20 GMT20
Is there any way to set up an account for a 3 watt bag phone ? I have
an account with Verizon. I called Verizon today and the rep informed
me as of July 2003 they won't activate analog phones.  I'm trying to
