| Roaming question. | 31 May 2004 22:50 GMT | 26 |
I am going to be in Alabama for a few days and I am on a local rather then a national plan. I am trying to figure out how much calls are from outside my home calling area. Does anyone know this? Thanks

| vx4400 vs vx4500 RF performance | 31 May 2004 19:13 GMT | 1 |
I am upgrading and currently have vx4400. I would like a speakerphone so it is either the vx4500 or the v60. I have had good results with LG phones. Other than the lack of analog what how does the RF performance of the 4500 compare with the 4400?

| Screensavers: Do they really save the screen? | 31 May 2004 17:50 GMT | 6 |
I was wondering that in this day and age of technology, do the screensavers that you can buy from various service providers... do they really "save" your screen? I remember in the old days when you could get screen burn from some image or text being displayed on a moniter for

| Most visible display? | 31 May 2004 17:44 GMT | 1 |
A friend, although not technically vision-impaired, is having a hard time reading the display on his phone. He's a mechanic, keeps the phone in his pocket, and doesn't really want a flip-phone. What he needs is a sturdy, easy to use candy bar phone with a nice big

| Terminal Client via Verizon Broadband | 31 May 2004 16:17 GMT | 17 |
I'm considering purchasing Verizon Broadband Access. The plan is $80/mo for 300kbps downstream and 50kbps upstream. It's offered here in San Diego and I think DC as well. The only app that I would be using with this service is Terminal Client ("remote desktop"), but as you know, ...

| Mile high signals | 31 May 2004 14:03 GMT | 7 |
The question is simple: has anyone received a signal from a commercial airliner 6 miles high, for more than 10 seconds? Particularly an all digital signal. Comments how the signal that high in the sky and in a tin can is?

| 7135 National Access? | 31 May 2004 13:49 GMT | 6 |
I have a Kyo 6035 which I would like to upgrade to the 7135 when the price comes down some. But the 7135 is not listed as "national access". Does this mean the 7135 lacks analog mode, or what?

| Coverage in Etna CA? | 30 May 2004 19:14 GMT | 2 |
How's coverage in Etna CA? As an Alltel user who will likely be roaming there on Verizon for several days in July, can anyone advise the SID and digital/analog situation? If not Verizon, who is there? Thanks, George

| Using the LG vx400 for faxing from a laptop? | 30 May 2004 14:17 GMT | 1 |

| Text message plans | 30 May 2004 07:03 GMT | 2 |
If I get the Double Double deal, I get 800 text messages. Is that 800 sent, or do received messages count, too? Or with a deal, do I get unlimited reading of text messages? Thanks for any information. Horseface

| LG VX3200 - end button on headset? | 30 May 2004 04:47 GMT | 5 |
On my wife's 4400, the headset "end" button is not functional. It can't be made to work, as far as I know. Does anyone know if the new 3200 has the same design problem? (it's ridiculous to require a user to open a closed clamshell and press the

| New Customers with non-GPS CDMA Tri-mode phones? | 30 May 2004 04:26 GMT | 5 |
I read on an eBay auction site (for an older Nokia 5185i non-GPS CDMA phone) that Verizon is no longer activating "new" customers who bring their own older non-GPS CDMA tri-mode Nokias, etc. Any validity to that? Thanks.

| Is LG VX3200 tri-mode? Is there a data cable for Nokia 3589i? | 29 May 2004 23:18 GMT | 4 |
Went to the VZW store today, even though the VZW website (and store display placard) and LG website says the LG VX3200 is tri-mode, the salesman insisted it was not. I suspect he thought it was not because the price point is lower than the LG VX4500 which is not tri-mode?

| my vx4500 vs my cdm-8900 | 29 May 2004 20:58 GMT | 2 |
I had the 8900 model for 6 months and it only dropped 1 call in 48 hours of talk time. I switched that with another person for a brand new 4500 which i have now. Love the speaker for driving but has already lost 2 calls in less than 2 hours talk time. Aside from the 8900 having a ...
